First I must tell you I have been playing pickleball for 5+ years , intermediate player at a rating of 3+. Upon receiving this paddle I was a little skeptical based on the price point. It came with a nice protective cover and the handle was protected with removable a plastic wrap. Upon removing the protective wrap I noticed the grip tape wrap band at the top was coming off and appeared to be either cut or just broke after it was stretched on. The design of the paddle is impressive, very colorful, and the handle grip feels good. What stood out was the very shinny paddle surface. It looks like a clear coat sprayed on before the outer black band is installed. What I noticed immediately was a number of air bubbles throughout the surface on both sides. I don't believe this will affect play, however, will the bubbles start to breakdown after extended use, causing the clear coat to come off, which would affect play?Pickleball Play: I used this paddle to play appropriately 10 games, striking the pball from light dinks to hard slams. I was actually surprised as to the weight balance of the paddle along with the feel of striking the ball.It doesn't quite have the same feel as my $150 paddle, but does play well, especially for a begining player who would not notice the difference. When it came to putting forward and backspin on the ball it was a little difficult withe the surface being very shinny and smooth. For beginners spin is usually not considered.I definitely would recommend this paddle for beginners. It's a great value at this price point. I would have given 5 Stars for a beginner paddle, however, the defects in manufacturing lost one Star.

I'm brand new to pickelball. I initially bought a four paddle set to get into the sport. While that set is pretty good, the guy in charge of the courts at our gym recommended picking up a larger paddle as I'm learning the sport. He said that the larger surface area for striking the ball would increase my success rate when returning shots. And he was right! This paddle is a little larger than my other paddle and it is also a few ounces heavier. It is a bit easier for me to control my shots with this paddle vs my other one. I would recommend this for a beginning pickleballer.

This pickleball paddle is great for beginners. The weight is good and the paddle is sturdy. The design on the paddle is not my favorite, but for someone who is just starting out, the picture on it wasn't that important to me. It is nice that it came with a cover.

We are new to playing pickle ball and didn’t want t to spend a bunch of $$ not knowing if we’d like it. We are having a lot of fun, even for my 9 year old daughter. Racquets are durable, lightweight and work for us.
