Good product/great support
Plain and simple, but it did the job well. Easy to put together, the water pump has enough pressure to provide a good flow of water from the shower head, and the water got hot fast!!I had a little issue on one of the knobs but their tech support answered my email in less than a day and resolved the issue in less than 3 days. Customer service is why it gets a 5 star.

CAMPLUX 1.58GPM propane shower exceeded expectations!!
The CAMPLUX 1.58GPM exceeded our expectations! It was pretty easy to install. Just make sure you tighten the hoses on. I was very concerned about the 1.58 GPM, and wasnt sure how hard the flow/pressure would be. It is Amazing!!We installed this near our Swim Spa, and now the kids dont have to use the cold hose water to rinse off or shower off after a swim. We usually have it about 100-104.I have a 25 foot expendable hose, which might be smaller inside that normal hose, so maybe that helps with the water pressure. Also we have had 4 kids rinse off for about 2 -3 minutes each, its really continuous hot water!also i wasnt sure if the pilot light would run / burn propane 24/7. Its doesnt. It kicks on once it senses water pressure by pressing the Open on the hand held shower head.It take about 10-12 seconds to go from cold to about 100' so really fast to get a HOT Shower! Its so portable, i imagine just bringing this with an extra propane tank camping and being able to shower anywhere i can get water.I am going to build a nicer shower area for this. But just wanted to say we have had this about a month, and no worries!

CAMPLUX 2.64 GPM Tankless Propane Water Heater
The water heater works very well but mine failed in 9 months. Customer service was responsive to phone calls and email but it took trouble shooting both by phone and video to convince them it had failed (13 Emails and 1 phone call). Once they agreed it failed it failed it took only 3 days to get the replacement. The heater works very well so I hope the replacement last longer than the first one.

Easy to set up with the right adapters, and produces HOT water
I got this to replace a unit from another company purchased last year with a one-month warranty. It worked fine last year, and again when I pulled it out of winter storage this year... but only once, then it completely quit. This one has a one-year warranty, so maybe it's better. It looks like it was made in the same factory with many of the same parts, and it mounted with exactly the same screw holes as the old one, so I'm only semi-optimistic about its longevity. At least for now it's working, and I must give it credit for producing hotter water than the old unit. That one was highly variable in the amount of heat it put out, and sometimes couldn't quite reach the temperature I like for a shower. This Camplux unit easily hits the temperature I like (115 degrees F, according to its display), and will go much hotter. The only fault I can identify so far is the sensitivity of the settings. The smallest change in the control dials will result in a big change in temperature. On the plus side, it is very repeatable from shower to shower, so doesn't require a lot of fiddling once you get it set the way you like it.This unit comes with some adapters to convert its British pipe threads to standard American garden hose threads, but that might not be exactly what you want, so be prepared to purchase other adapters. Other than that, it's easy to hang on a wall and simple to operate. I just hope this one lasts.

Stop working
Bought this unit in March, 2024. Stopped working in September 2024. Will not ignite or heat water. The exhaust supports have broken due to thin metal. This unit is being used in a mobile dog grooming trailer.

Great so far
I’ve had this for about 6 months and use it just about every day and I’m very satisfied with its performance. Temp is a lot easier to control than some of the reviews suggests. Propane lasts longer than I expected too!

Amazing Customer Service
I purchased the CAMPLUX Tankless Propane Water Heater and I loved how simple and fantastic that it worked right out of the box....that is not why I am writing a review. After not using for 3 months I found that the device would not stay lit. I did my research online and tried the suggestions and then called customer service....they were amazing. With great patience and persistence we walked through all the possible options to deduce the problem and search for a solution. I learned a lot about how the device works and the elegant design of the heater.Although we did not get to fix it, the team walked me through sending in my proof of purchase and is in the process of sending me a replacement...just in time for December's outdoor shower season!I wish I had the name of those who helped me, but everyone I have communicated with has been professional and very helpful! Thank you!

Great water heater for camp!
This made our camp! Only problem is the hose to the shower handle broke on day 1 and we had to duct tape the heck out of it. If the hose was sturdier this product would be perfect! Update 8/24/24: Camplux reached out to me after reading my review and sent a new shower handle and hose free of charge. I am truly impressed that they cared enough about me as a customer to reach out and make it right! I think that is pretty rare. I haven't had a chance to use the replacement hose and handle but I am happy that they bothered to send it. That is great customer service!

Easy and works very well
I set this up to feed from my pop up tent trailer's water supply, providing hot water on demand for washing. There was very little fuss, the existing water line that had run to the sink simply unscrewed and attached to the Camplux. Water was perfectly warm and nearly instant heat. This was everything I hoped it would be! I am very pleased.

Nice little unit!
I saw a few reviews not understanding the fittings. The unit is NPT and the adapters that come with it convert it to garden hose thread so you can use the quick couplers.Mounted mine to my truck camper. Went with NPT to PEX and plumbed it into the existing pump line. Works great! If you set it to low flow and high heat it is too hot to shower.

Saved lives and relationships!
This has been the best investment for the cottage! We are building a cottage so we don't have a shower (or a building but that's not relevant). While spending weeks up there sweating while building and not having access to hot water for washing dishes or showering, this shower has saved lives! It gives super hot water and I don't know how it works but I don't care! Only minor complaints are that we have to turn off the generator to turn the shower off (can't seem to turn off the pump) so the water runs when the generator is on even if we don't need the shower. And the water temperature is very persnickety. You touch the knob even SLIGHTLY the water temp jumps and can scald. We keep it around 40 degrees Celsius which is almost the lowest setting. Hate to see the highest setting. But for the money and having hot showers while in the bush, we don't complain.

a welcome addition to our camping set up
Hot water while camping! Heck yeah! It mostly works great. It can be finicky to adjust and the flame will sometimes get blown out if its windy, so if you are filling up a big tub you need to keep an eye on it to make sure you are getting hot water throughout. It works great for the price, and easy enough to operate. No regrets!

Ok - better than the Basecamp model it replaced, but fussy to operate, so not great.
========================================UPDATE: Stopped working completely. RETURNED.========================================The overall design is pretty good for what the water heater is designed to do, the feature set is nice, the build quality appears to be reasonable, and delivery was quick. That's the good. Now the bad:- Starting the water heater is very unreliable, and does not usually start the first try. It is supposed to be automatic - if there is gas pressure and the water starts flowing, the flame is supposed to ignite and the water heats up. I leave the unit hooked up to water and gas, but in an unpressured state - gas and water hoses are empty, with no pressure. With the hand shower valve closed, I open the propane tank valve, and the quick turn water supply value. When I open the hand shower valve, the water flows and unit should spark a few times to ignite the flame. Usually it does not. It might do it after closing and reopening the hand shower valve. I turn the gas and water supply off, purge the water pressure by opening and closing the hand shower valve, then retry the startup sequence all over again. It sometimes takes 3-4 cycles before it starts. Once it starts, it may flame out again and require recycling, but if you leave it going without lifting the hand shower for 10-15 seconds, it usually stays on. The water temperature takes about 30 seconds to get near operating temperature anyway, so holding it pointed downwards for a little is no big deal. The previous Basecamp model was notoriously aggravating for shutting down when lifting the hand shower higher (lifting the hand shower caused the flow rate to go down.) I suspect the unit puts a heavy load on the 2 D batteries, but new batteries don't make any difference. I don't know what the battery life is yet, though.- Temperature control is very unsteady. There are two controls that affect the water temperature - water flow and fuel flow. The water is coldest at high water and low fuel flow, and hottest at low water and high fuel flow. Its a little awkward, but easy to get used to. There's a digital display of the water temperature, which seems to be reasonably accurate. Since the unit should start automatically when gas pressure is present and the ware starts flowing, it seems reasonable, that once the water and gas flow adjustments have been set to your desired temperature, you should be able to set it and forget it. Not exactly. The temperature increase is relative to the incoming water temperature, so on a colder day, the exit temperature is less. Not a big deal, and a slight tweak of either the water or gas flow should get you back to your desired water temperature. The problem is that minor adjustments can result in major temperature fluctuations, to the point of scalding hot water!!! Steady state temperature fluctuations usually range from 4-8 degrees, and a drop can fool you into thinking the flame has gone out, so I'm always looking to see the temperature reading. Temperature stability is annoying, but less aggravating than startup reliability.- Adjustable hand shower spray pattern is not adjustable. There is a two-position lever on the hand shower that in theory switches between two patterns. It did this once for sure the very first time the water was on, but every since that one time, there is very little noticeable difference when switching. You can sometimes see that water is flowing differently when switching patterns, but other than the first time, there is no difference in the feel between the two patterns. The inner pattern affects the flow rate, and the water temperature goes up, so changing patterns means pointing the hand shower away from you to avoid burns in case the temperature fluctuates too much. The outer pattern is supposed to be a ring of fine water jets and the inner pattern looks like it might supposed to be a higher flow of bigger streams at lower pressure, but the temperature changes suggest the outer pattern of fine jets produces a high flow (and lower temperature). Occasionally I try to switch and see if the pattern might change, but aside from the temperature change, the pattern change isn't noticeable.- Hand shower patterns can be painful. I usually use the outer spray pattern of fine jets because it has higher overall water flow than the inner pattern of larger streams. The jets are very fine and feel like needles, particularly on sensitive skin (e.g. that parts that you usually want to wash when you take a shower.) Ideally you would think that lowering the water flow control would decrease the pressure and pain of the water jets, but no ... it seems to affect only the water temperature. I have not found combination of water flow and hand shower pattern that eliminates the needle jet problem. I will tray the non-adjustable Basecamp hand shower, though, because the hose fitting looks standard. (A regular household hand shower may have too high a flow rate to allow the heater to raise the water temperature to the desired level, but I won't know unless I try swapping.)So, overall, the unit is better than my previous Basecamp model with higher flow rates, higher water temperatures, and less sensitivity to flow changes with hand shower height, but the unit is not free of its own frustrations and aggravations.Would I buy it again? Maybe.
