Be sure you want one this size
This is a heavy model and I use for breaking clinches but for my primary hammer it would be too heavy in my opinion

27+ years using this hammer
When I started out as a farrier, my mentor told me to spend my money on clinchers and nippers. I bought the best, GE. I did not spend much money on my hammers, but they got me through the 1000s of horse I have shoed. Today, I have the money to buy the best hammers, etc. I picked up my friend's high dollar driving hammer and it felt ackward. I would slip off the nail, hit my fingers, etc. My inexpensive Diamond driving hammer just feels the best because I know it. So my mentor, who has since passed on was correct. This hammer has stood the test of time. It just plain works.
