This is a nice, good looking and sturdy belt. No, it is not a solid piece of leather, but like someone else said it is three pieces of material laminated together. This makes it really stiff, which might make it hold its shape for a while. Solid leather belts tend to be softer and will conform to my shape pretty quickly so we'll see how this one lasts. I've owned several nice belts over the years and this one looks as nice as any of them with the outline stitching around it's entire exterior. I like the conchos and the basket weave pattern which is starkly done but the first thing I did was lose the buckle and put one of my own on it. I think this belt will work fine for the money. Any more expensive and I'd expect solid leather though.

Got for my wedding and it both fit well and looked great!

I love the quality and the appearance of the belt. Love the Ariat brand. I also have a pair of Ariat work boots and Ariat regular boots and they are great as well so I knew the belt was going to be top notch. Best belt I've owned so far and I've been through a lot of belts.
