Q: Does it support USB-C to C charging or only A to C?

Both USB-C to C and A to C are ok。 Here is one point need to attention: Warning: Please use 5V≥1A power adapter to charge Tea, using fast charger to charge it may cause adverse effect; if you have product failure caused by charging adapter problem, please contact Khadas for technical support.

Q: The tea arrived today but it doesnt attach magnetily to my iphone 12 pro max. do i need to chrge it for the magnet to work?

There are no removable batteries with this unit. It is rechargeable via usb-c with any wall port or batter bank.
