so glad to get a new cover since the dogs chewed the zipper on the other one. it is pretty durable so not sure that I would say that it is chew proof as the area around the zipper can be but the rest of the cover is pretty intact, just don't want them to tear the waterproof cover underneath, so had to get another cover

Last a couple days befor there was a giant hole, flipped it over and a few weeks later another hole. I expected this, but it was pretty easy for the 6 month old pup, but if your dog doesn't chew it's a nice cover

My dog doesn't chew so I couldn't really determine that aspect. It is very good weight and fabric is really attractive, the zipper is great! thanks

I like the idea as I have made a few like it in my time similar to it.(First) Problem they sent a different one than I ordered which was the Denham one . I came in a folder like you would get papers in and was torn half open. I looked close found it was not an Amazon product, stupid of me. I did not send it back and put it in her crate as it is open all the time . she began chew after first day. So I stitched it up.I still thought the heavy denim one you stuff with queen pillows would work and also came with a liner. So I jumped on it out of frustration.Problem came when I realized the thing is so air tight that it will not let enough are out so it will not lay flat she won't get near it no matter how much stuffing out and the colour was not what I ordered as well as it was shipped in the same type of envelope as the other only this as totally filed open. I could, should have bought a really good bed instead of these things, don let price get in the way. Just get a good bed and leave this item to dumbes like me.

Our dog bed got to the point the washing the cover did not help . So we got this cover and put dog bed and old cover into this cover . Just make sure you get the size right . ours was the xl

Material wasn't as heavy as I would have liked. It does the job I needed though. My outdoor patio cushion covers were falling apart, the cushion part inside is still good. I tried finding new covers to no avail. Even to the source of manufacturing brand. They sell new cushions but not covers. I looked everywhere for the size cover. Saw these dog bed covers and they were close enough, and price was affordable enough for the 6 cushions I have. The green color faded fast, so I think the material won't hold up in sunlight very long term. In photo its the bottom cushions. The back cushion covers are original to the patio set. My dogs jump up on them and lie there, turn around and all that sort of doggy motion. The covers look fine, wash great, so I think for regular dog beds, these would work great. I am not sure how tough it is if a dog chews on it, since my dogs don't chew dog beds. It does not seem that tough to me though if a dog is a fabric chewer.

I have ordered a few replacement covers over the years for my dogbed. But, the last one had a nasty odor that not only clung to my dog, but transferred to any other items in the washing machine.I repeatedly washed it, washed it with Shout, and it still smell bad-something sulphurous.I will buy another, but if it still has that odor, back it goes.-UPDATE-I bought a second cover and it, too, has that annoying odor. So, I will return it.I ended up buying a different color to see if it is either a global problem or just limited to that color.In any case, I recommend that you do not buy this particular color/model until they can figure out what is wrong.UPDATE 2-I ended up buying the brown color, and thankfully, it doesn't stink like the olive green one. Buy that one instead.

The green color is definitely a true olive and not the jewel-tone teal it looks like in the listing, but thankfully we have lots of shades of green in our home, so it works. The size is great and the large zipper opening made it super easy to stuff with the wool batting we chose. The reviews stating that their dog chewed through it or tore it up quickly must just have highly destructive dogs or dogs being left crated for hours on end. Our 2 Border Collie/Aussie mixes love the bed (The second one is on it's way. There was a shipping error, but the company fixed it super fast.) and so do our 6 cats. So far there is no sign of it being easily damaged at all. I'm sure it's not chew-proof, but no dog bed really is.
