Kept my interest.
I enjoyed the entire book so no dislikes. I was born and raised in Nashville so I love reading about the history of Nashville.

No, just no.
This is a poorly organized book that would have benefited greatly by an editor.

Very interesting historical book
Today, Sept 1,2022, I was close to Murfreesboro Rd. in Nashville where the old hospital used to stand, so I drove onto the grounds, now occupied by Dell and HCA. The only vestige of the old hospital I could find was the gatehouse, still standing back from the road. I was disappointed not to see a historical marker, but it may be there. I worked for Vanderbilt's Tennessee Neuropsychiatric Institute in the 1970's. It was located in one of Central State's huge buildings. As administrator, my office was located in a former shower room where out of control patients used to be housed. At the time, I drove a VW bug and left it open. Often, in the afternoon when I was leaving, my car would be occupied by four patients. I did not mind. I enjoyed my time there and am grateful to Larry for having written his excellent book. It brought back lots of memories.

Historical read. True accounts from families made it more interesting.
Enjoyed actual people accounts. Easy read. Did have some grammatical errors.
