Amazon CollectionIGI Certified 14k Gold Round Diamond Stud Earrings (H-I Color, I1 Clarity)

I bought these earrings for my wife, for her birthday. She has never owned a pair of traditional diamond stud earrings, and I wanted her to have a set that she could be proud to show to her friends and business associates. I did quite a bit of research and shopping, and these were the best value I could find. There are quite a few other choices available from Amazon (and other retailers) that are about the same size, and that are less expensive. However, none of the less expensive choices had comparable color, clarity, and cut as these. The closest I could find was a couple of hundred dollars more, as a matter of fact, and they went up from there. It seems that jewelry makers will generally use lower quality diamonds for earrings, so finding ones that have good color and clarity can be challenging. And expensive. It would not be such a big deal for really small studs, but at 3/4 carat weight, imperfections in the stones can really start to show. These stones are really, really nice, and should satisfy any eagle-eyed diamond critic, especially for earrings.I purchased a set and Amazon delivered, right on time. Packaging was perfect, and the IGI certification card and appraisal was enclosed, as promised. My wife was thrilled. Upon putting one of the earrings on, however, we discovered that one of the screw backs was very slightly off center, and could cause a cross threading situation if forced. My wife was very disappointed, and so was I. I went on line immediately and asked Amazon for a telephone call to discuss what my options were. My phone rang immediately, and a representative from Amazon was on the line with me. I explained the problem, and she was absolutely terrific. I was expecting her to say that she would send out another earring backer, but she instead sent out another set of earrings for me and arranged for a UPS pickup of the first set. AND...she overnighted the replacement set to me. They arrived in perfect condition.Thanks, Amazon, for providing a good product at a fair price, and delivering it with top notch service. Highly recommended.

I am very glad I bought these! Beautiful, sparkly, simple, high quality, and worth the price! They are very comfortable to wear, in fact I keep them on all the time and forget that I am even wearing them. The backings are very sturdy. These are a special purchase and I am in love!

I was shopping for a nice set of 1/2 cttw earrings for the holidays and was shocked at the quality of diamonds at some of the well known retailers. One in particular had 4-levels of diamond quality. When the maximum is selected, the stones are only at I1 clarity! I as happy to see Amazon being up front about their color and clarity appraisals and at a significantly lower price than the competition.Overall, the earrings are well made. The gold is clearly stamped and the screw-back (while slightly more frustrating to put on) will make them feel more secure and less likely to get lost. The diamonds are mounted securely and the basket is pleasing and seems to help with the internal reflections.Upon receipt of the earrings, I was initially a bit disappointed. One earring had a visually (though very very slightly) more yellow tint than the other and was slightly larger in diameter. The pair was not a good match. Furthermore, the clarity on the appraisal was I1 and not the SI2-I1 as advertised. The appraisal was close to the amazon price, but lower than the "list price". I was not happy with this set as a gift so I ordered a second pair for comparison.The second pair arrived and this time all was as it should be. The pair was a good match in size and clarity with one being ever-so-slightly more clear and brilliant. This time the appraisal card stated SI2-I1 clarity as I was expecting and the appraisal price was 30% higher than the original pair. It is unfortunate that you get stuck with "luck of the draw" as to whether you get a higher or lower quality pair of diamonds, but as always with amazon, their returns are simple.Overall, the quality of the earrings is fantastic for the price, especially in comparison to other shops. The only negative to the experience is the uncertainty as to the quality to be received and whether both earrings are well paired. I can understand that natural diamonds can vary, but at least at a brick-and-mortar shop, you can compare before purchasing. An online vendor should add much more scrutiny to a pair prior to sending them out.

One of the earnings was spot on, the other was one grade down or more. Was Xmas time and my wife has not noticed so i just kept them. Wished i had sent back to Amazon for replacement. Amazon's quality on diamonds seems to be questionable

Terrible quality. Small, milky with no sparkle. Returned!!You need to go to a jewelry store to see these in person for purchases like this. because every stone is unique.

These are gorgeous earrings - high quality. To be honest, I returned them because I actually wanted a larger size. I highly recommend these earrings to anyone wishing 3/4cttw diamond earrings because they were beautiful. The quality and sparkle were perfect.

Diamonds themselves are beautifully cut but seem really small for the price. Also, no gift box for this price is flat out unacceptable. Earrings came in a plastic envelope.

I am certainly no diamond expert, however, I did do my research and purchased these earrings after some careful consideration, and they did not disappoint. They were just as I expected and hoped for. The color and clarity appeared as advertised, and my wife was certainly happy. The only negative might be the fact they were screw backs, which are not quite as convenient to put on.
