It's a smooth riding bike. I bought for my wife, she loves it, and she is not a bike rider, she rides it 45 min a day. Easy to assemble,we'll built, and solid. Only down side is that it has no fenders, I ordered the fender and back rack kit, another $250.I saw other poster that said bike only went 20mph. I had mine to 29.4 mph. You must be on level 5 and the chain gear must be in 7th gear and I have to pump hard (I am 58 and 6'2" 220 lbs) I also had adjust my shifter, it said 7th on indicator, but was in 6th, just a 1/4 turn of the screw driver. I know if I was younger and lighter I could have hit 30mph

Since the bike just arrived yesterday, I haven't had a chance to ride it since the ON/OFF switch will not function if the battery is in its compartment. It appears that clearances are not adequate for the ignition interlock to function properly. The attached photographs show that in an effort to meet those clearances, excessive force was used installing the battery receptacle plate.At this point I'm waiting to hear back from the manufacturer (in Hong Kong) as to where we go from here.It would be of great benefit if there was a service center located within the US, and my two star rating will probably improve dramatically once I get a chance to ride this machine. I'll do a followup rating of this Velowave e-bike, focusing on their support capabilities, as soon as I have experience with that aspect of their company.UPDATE:I feel it's important to recognize a company when their customer service and after sale support deserve mention. Velowave support responded to me within 24 hours of my initial contact and, after a review of the situation immediately shipped replacement parts and a link to a video explaining how to easily change them. In a quick run through of the procedure, I realized how well constructed and designed for easy maintenance this bike is!So, now with confidence in the quality of both construction and customer support of Velowave, my wife will get that Prado S that she wants so badly!

The bike is very sturdy and rides nicely. Suitable for adults and teens. Twist handle gears on right and acceleration paddle on left. A couple things slipped through their quality control for which I had to contact them. Service contacted me back within 24hrs (China time don't forget) which was nice. They bent over backwards to help and accommodated me with my request and got me what I needed very quickly. Accessories were quick to come and help with assembly if required was given in for of an instruction video which is not with the part. It was given as soon as I asked for it.All in all ended up with what I was looking for and a better experience than friends had with other manufactures.

I reviewed at least a dozen different brands and power ratings for E bikes. This one will NOT do 28 miles an hour(20 mph on a straight, throttle only) but seems well made and is a good value for the money... I'm 6' and 250 pounds running on gravel roads and easy grades... pedal assist is great for my 60 year old knees... The Vendor response to my rating of 4 Stars....."The max speed up to 28+MPH is based on the flat road riding with the rider weights 150 LBS at throttle mode under 68°F."(Vendor). Most 150 lbs "men" I know are in Middle school.. nevertheless.. it is a Very Good Quality Product.. I would purchase another for my spouse.. I especially liked the "riding position" with Higher Raised Handle Bars.. Purchased mine to run the gated State Forrest Roads for sight-seeing.

This is my second e-bike. I upgraded my bike to this one for the fatter tires and side step-in. This bike takes the bumps with ease, it's a smooth ride. I am very happy with it. I also have better control with this bike on dirt and gravel. I wasn't quite ready for the weight (95 pounds) and need help lifting it onto my bike carrier, but I don't usually ride alone anyway, so there is always someone there to help.

Where is my Velowave?

Where we live, there’s a lot of hills. This bike takes them effortlessly. My 33 year old son came over yesterday. He rode around the hills and couldn’t believe how easy it was taking those hills. I would definitely buy this bike again.

I purchased this bike a week ago, put it together and charged the battery. When I put the battery in the bike it would not turn on. I tried charging it again for a few hours. Same result.I reached out to customer service and went through a series of tests to troubleshoot the problem. Determined that it was the battery and they shipped me a new one.Happy to have it resolved and love the bike.
