Way too noisy to use in privacy
I am in the very first stages of incontinence. I bought this to try to head off serious problems, such as my mother had by starting early. First I tried the Elitone but found it totally inadequate at the stimulation needed to contract the pelvic floor simply never materialized, even though I used it at the highest setting. So, I then moved on to this device. The directions aren't really very enlightening, but not terribly difficult to figure out. I started using it straight away and my biggest concern, thus far, is that the control unit vibrates loudly with every single pulse of stimulation. In fact it vibrates so loudly they even though I wrap it in a towel and try to muffle it between my pillow and my comforters, I am still worried that it can be heard in the next room. Not if the TV is on, but if someone is simply sitting in the other room browsing through their cell phone there's no way they cannot fail to hear the constant rhythmic vibrations. This means that I, in my room alone, have no real sense of privacy because it's only a matter of time before one of them asks me what that sound is. Lying in my bed, with the probe inside of me, stimulating my pelvic floor to contract in order to keep from wetting myself, well that's information I'd rather not the rest of the house being on, especially in the moment. As to its effectiveness, well I've only been using it a week. I have noticed some improvement. I hope this improvement continues. I will revisit this review at a later date to let you know if it does fully relieve my very light and continence. As light as my incontinence is, if it can't relieve mine it won't relieve yours.

Sounds much like BlueWind's RENOVA iStim™ System...
I'm not sure that this iStim Pelvic Floor Trainer for Incontinence Relief device even does anything significant on its own. You are supposed to use it once or twice per day for 12 weeks. But, and here is the qualm I have, you are also to do real physical Kegel exercises during the whole process. Also, it seems that they have taken the part of the name of the authentically FDA approved BlueWind RENOVA iStim™ System for the Treatment of OAB, and a phony FDA certification number. The BlueWind RENOVA iStim™ System is the only device I could find, under the iStim name, that has an authentic FDA approved device that improves Overactive Bladder. There's also nothing in the manual that even hints that this device is FDA registered or certified. There are, however, several spelling and punctuation mistakes. This device does stimulate with EMS like vibrations, and they actually call them vibrations in the manual. However, I believe the real effectiveness comes from doing the actual physical Kegel exercises during the approximate 38 minutes sessions. You could probably save quite a bit of money and just do the Kegel exercises on your own. Set a reminder every day, then a timer for 38 minutes, and try to keep reminding yourself to do kegel exercises every 15 seconds for 10 seconds each time.I'm not sold on this device, nor its shady name and FDA "certificate numbers". I will say that because of these two things, it is definitely not my favorite.

On the fence....
I'm on the fence with this unit. It looks and feels high quality and elegant. The instructions were easy to understand and follow. I thought this unit would be more like a tens type unit that would "exercise" your muscles for you. It is not. You insert the probe and do your kegals to the rhythm of the modes. I am still trying to get that down because you have to hold then relax which takes concentration. There are a bunch of settings but there is a weird difference in the middle; on the lowest setting you cannot really feel anything, then on level 6 it's slight shocking. After that it can be painful. You need to do 40min sessions 2x a day which can be challenging, especially if you have kids. You also need to be plugged into a wall to use this, something portable would definitely be more ideal. I'm hopeful with continued use this will help, as I'm having some urine leakage after 3 vaginal births. As of now I am on the fence, I see the potential but the execution is difficult.

Keeps me accountable for doing kegals
This pelvic floor trainer looks sleek and comes with instructions that are pretty clear and easy to understand. The unit is easy to clean before and after each use, and is small enough that it can discreetly be stored away easily when not in use.The most notable thing about this device is that it keeps me accountable for doing kegals, which I wouldn't set aside time to do had it not been for this device. It makes it easier to exercise my pelvic muscles because it guides me through timing. I find that doing it on the 3rd or 4th setting works best for me.

Gives the perfect kegel
This device is a lot more complicated than the last one I used.As a disclaimer, I will only review use of the device and not whether it works because, TMI, I have an issue that requires surgery next year, but I have to do something until then. This device is wireless and uses USB cord. There are directions, but they are vague in some places. The directions state to start with the larger wand and to go smaller. I hooked up both wands and they both give out a charge. I don't see the point of the sizes as the charge to flex the muscles is the point of the exercise. The jolt can be painful. I started at a high level and after a few minutes, and I didn't think about it, I realized the devise was doing its job and flexing correctly. The thing I don't understand is the extra lead wires(?). I really don't understand what their use is.
