Romantic
Sapphire Cove series, this the second book returns you to the seaside and bluffs once again. M On M romance, erotic and more titillating than Christopher Rice, C. Travis Rice is the sexier even roll play version of the authors voice. Speaking of voice, if you haven't tried Audible listening to C Travis narrate these Sapphire cove stories sounds more like pillow talk, more than once I have drifted off into dream like state to the sound of his voice. I will be getting the book in the series, and did, if it goes to seven or eight I be waiting for his next steaming series, as well having read or listened to the books.

White Lotus with gay main characters
All the drama and romantic intrigue with authenticity often hard to find in the genre. Rice really delivers on the promise of the premise. And I’d like to note that having read nearly everything he’s written, Rice has the skill to change up his narrative prose to match the genre. Sapphire Spring is not a rehash of Sunset. In some ways it’s even more baldly honest and intense than it’s predecessor. I really appreciated the Persian influence and diversity, as well as highlighting the darkness of addiction. Additionally, Rice unabashedly delves in the psychology of sexual kinks and shows no fear in addressing them. I’m hoping Sapphire Storm will not be the last installment if Spring is any indication how great this series can be.

Loved it
when i found it out it was a bully and bullied falling in love romance i was intrigued but hesitant. i am not usually into bully romances but i read and enjoyed the first book of the series "sapphire sunset"first thing i have to say is watch for triggers. this book address them amazingly well, but does touch on some hard topics.the book was not what i expected, but in a great way.mason was a bully in high school. flanked by his goons chadwick and tim, they made nasers life hell.it's now years after high school and naser works at sapphire cove with his friend conner. mason is partying and not doing much with his life. until mason shows up at naser's sisters event at sapphire cove.what will happen when their paths cross again? can they move forward after their past?btw i would be doing a disservice not to say that christopher rice does an fantastic job as the narrator for the audiobook.i was on the edge of my seat with this book and in the end i fell in love.a great story.thank you christopher rice for a great read/listen#bookreview #books #bookish #bookrecommendations #malemaleromance #lovethisbook #lovethisseries #bookstagram #booklove

Gorgeous story that will break and mend, then break your heart again.
Wow! I am completely floored by how amazing this book was! Not only did I get the romance I wanted there was just so much more! I hesitate to say too much because I don't want to spoil anything but I learned so many things by reading this book. There was insight into Iran politics, refugee's, and culture, there were several discussions that made me think about how being gay, even in 2022 and in Orange County, California, has its perils. I learned a bit about recovery from alcoholism and the culture that surrounds it. Also, Mason's dad's story still has me reeling and weepy. These are characters that will stay with me for a long time because I felt totally immersed in the journey they took in this tale. All of this in an insightful (the comment about the broken windows will be on my mind forever), clever, snarky, well-written, heartbreaking and hilarious story.

This book is emotional popcorn and I couldn't put it down!
Break out a fresh box of Kleenex before beginning this book & keep them handy. Not only is this a spicy hot romance, there is a lot of heart tugging, emotional, family and relationship dynamics to keep the tears flowing. All the tears, happy tears, mad tears, sad tears, oh no he didn't tears. All. The. Tears! The layers of research the author must have done to be able to portray the characters so realistically and delivering their emotional baggage so efficiently and effectively must have been extensive for them to be fleshed out so well. Speaking of characters, there is one side character that I want to know more about. From the end of chapter 15 to the end of the last chapter, Jonas piqued my curiosity. I hope he gets his own book, soon!

Redemption & Forgiveness
Absolutely fabulous story. C. Travis Rice has written a great group of characters that I’ve really come to care about. I don’t usually go for bully romance, but in Sapphire Spring the story begins years after the bullying took place and becomes more about redemption. The story is emotional, sweet and funny but it also shows the negative effects of bullying, stereotypes, verbal abuse and addiction. It went much deeper than what I was expecting and also had an element of suspense at the end.Because this is essentially a romance, I did get a very satisfying HEA. It was an emotional journey to get there and was a journey I wouldn’t have wanted to miss.

Another Incredible Read!
After the fist book, I was really excited to read the second and it did not disappoint. The writing takes you on an emotional rollercoaster. Once I started, could not put the book down! I was also very happy to see Logan and Connor pop up every so often and keeping tabs on those two! I am anxiously awaiting the 3rd in the series!
