My son assembled everything with very little help. He ...
My son assembled everything with very little help. He turns 5 in January 2018, I had to help him put the tires on the wheels and with some of the stickers. Although he assembled everything securely pieces did start to fall off as he played with the completed project. Additionally the tool/transmission does not stay in very well underneath the car and was lost within 24 hours of completion. Please note we received this as part of the Amazon STEM subscription for 5-7 year olds.

Good quality, item matches the description
We received this item from Amazon STEM subscription for a 6 year old boy. He was able to assemble it all independently without any help, changed the expressions couple times and played with it with his little sister. The toy kept their interest for less than a week and was abandoned, my son doesn't really play much with cars any more and his sister prefers other cars that we have at home. The lights and the sounds only work for 1 or 2 seconds after you click the button, which is not good - I would expect to hear the engine sound or see the light all the time while playing without the need of constantly pushing the button. We didn't have the problem of parts falling out - both 6 and 2 year olds played and everything stayed on their places, the toy was assembled well and is sturdy, no loose parts, all the wheels turning smoothly.

To the finish line she builds again and again and again!
Awesome product for kids learning to build more complex models (more pieces) not beyond their age. My daughter has assembled and disassembled this toy more times than I count and has started timing herself to see if she can beat her time. It has peaked her curiosity and interest for other STEM toys. The directions are systematic and guide the builder through the process from step 1 until the last step with descriptive images. So far, the model has held up to multiple assemblies and disassemblies. This item is also good for kids who might be new to building and constructing. 5 stars IMO and I definitely recommend this product!

Christmas toy of 2020
Bought this for my girls kid on the spectrum. Definitely his favorite toy from Christmas. He hasn't put it down since he got it. Stickers are a pain but we did them before he got the box. The toy is well made and sturdy. The only issue is as the kids play the wheels come off. They also give you exact wheels and screws so just waiting for one to go missing. Alot more screws then the china made build a cars. Also made alot better. Transmission screw driver falls out as well. He loves the sounds and lights. If we don't lose parts will be a favorite toy for a long time.

Got it as part of Amazon STEM kit... It is amazing!
Very easy! Daughter was able to assemble everything on her own! Challenging as well, without being too difficult. Here are some things that help make this amazing:1. It's functional. The wheels roll. The engine makes sounds. Very bright lights come through the front.2. The manual is pictures-only, so my 4-year old was able to "read the manual" even though the idea initially intimidated her.3. Most of the connections are visible even after making them, at least in the beginning of assembly. Ex: This part is needed because it's what links the screw and the frame / body.4. Parts only go in one way, so while this still requires some spacial and logical analytical skills from your child, they will know if they make a mistake and be able to correct it.Overall, my daughter did 90% of the analysis and assembly herself. She laughed and giggled a lot while figuring out how the pieces worked and what their purpose was, as well as in excitement after doing things the right way. The only part I really had to explain to her was the hood. A++++ this is solidifying my subscription to Amazon's STEM service.

Great toy for builders or destroyers
My son is autistic & grew up on the car franchise. It's hard finding toys he likes or play with appropriately. He's just not interested in things most kids his age are (He's 13). But he's been going around the house unscrewing things so I had to put a stop to it. I got him this for Christmas & he was thrilled. He tried to just play with the pieces, but once I sat with him & helped him build it (just minor instructions), he played with it like any of his other car toys. Didn't take more than 15 minutes. And he's rough with his toys, so nothing has fallen off or broke yet.

Perfect for a Lightning McQueen fan!!!!
Bought this for my 3 yr old son for Christmas and we just recently built it....wasn’t expecting it to be so easy! My son was able to do most of it on his own with direction of course! He did need help with the stickers but there were some really tiny stickers that were kinda tough to peel off and then stick on. Hope they have more of these b/c he had a blast building it! What made it even better was that it makes sounds and lights up!

Hard for my 5 year old
This one definitely required a lot of adult intervention when doing with my five year old. He was very excited to get it, as a car lover, and was immediately absorbed in it - wanting to put it together. After it was put together he played with it for a while and now it is in his room somewhere. The good thing is he will grow into the ability to make this himself, so I don't count this a loss at this stage. We got this on the STEM subscription program. It makes a really nice sturdy car - I would definitely recommend this.

Mala calidad

Poor delivery
Love the toy however poor delivery. The box was crushed and broken when arrived because they used a bag not a box. Nothing to protect the box. It was a gift to my son’s birthday. Luckily it wasn’t for other people
