I am a woman and I put this together myself it's easy to assemble, is very sturdy once built, looks great, the draws are on wheels and just roll under the bed with ease so you don't have runners to fit, which break in time, my daughter is very happy with this bed and I would definitely recommend this small double for a teenager.

The bed had misaligned holes so it was impossible to assemble. My hubby drilled holes in the right place in the end, as we just didn't have the time to mess about returning it and exchanging etc Now assembled, it's great. My son likes it and it's sturdy, don't know if that's because of my husband's fixings though as he is handy at fixing things. Looks good and does the job well.

Love this bed however instructions could be a little better, so takes a while to assemble. Very impressed with this bed and storage, only thing I don’t like is the spaces to put the draws against don’t align fully and as such have just placed them next to and now the screws have come through the other side on the draws due to hitting the metal. Other than that quality of the bed is great, I prefer having metal over wooden slats and makes it a lot sturdier. I have a memory foam mattress and have notice when getting in and out of bed that it makes a squeaky noise, not a big issue for me but for some might be.
