stainless steel and there is no inside coil - we LOVE this and feel its one of our BEST purchases besides our SECURA 1.7 Liter electric kettle. (we bought the small one for travel because of the ease and the dual voltage) There is no place where plastic touches the water - great little kettle!

Q: How much does the kettle weigh?

Very light. Less than two pounds.

Q: What is the inside diameter of the kettle. I want to pack Sea to Summit collapsible cups in it for travel.

It is a bit less than 4" across. If your cups are 3.75" or less they are sure to fit. The usable height is also about 4 inches. A cube 2.65" x 2.65" x 4" should fit. A Cylinder 3.75" x 4" should also fit.
