My five year old grandson loves anything mechanical, so he loved this tool for making his first pierogis. The trick is cutting the dough slightly larger than the size of the dumpling maker. Make sure you don't use too much filling and lightly wet the edges. (I use milk for a tight seal) It is not fast, but there are plenty of smiles when they turn out perfectly...not every time, but it was a great purchase.

The tolerance was to wide so when I would press down there was not enough contact on the press so it would not seal.

I thought we would try this, (tic Tok) but doesn't work like it should. Would not recommend.

I purchased this after seeing someone use it on TikTok, but ended up returning it after trying it out. It's very flimsy, and no matter how small of a filling you put inside, it still makes a mess. The problem with this unit is you can't achieve enough pressure to properly seal the dumplings, so we had to go back and hand seal them even after using this product. Waste of time--don't buy it.

I'm not sure where all the positive reviews are coming from because this thing does not work AT ALL. We probably tried five different wrappers, fillings - wetting the sides, not wetting the sides but it never worked. It's made of cheap plastic and the only packaging it came in was shrink wrap - no instructions, no label - nothing. I am positive there are better choices out there and I suggest you look for them and avoid this contraption at all costs.
