Game design has several flaws, especially the current version of it.
I got the game for our kid, who's just turning 4. I came to the US as an adult, so this game doesn't have any sentimental value to me. In fact I didn't know what to expect. What we got is a bit disappointing: there's a large logo in the middle of the board, surrounded by 3 smallish cherry trees with holes to place cherries in, and 1(!) basket. By the rules, there are supposed to be 3 baskets, one for each player. The spinning wheel is not attached to the board, and doesn't spin very well, unless you press pointer to the table, and spin the wheel itself. I went to youTube to see if this is how it should be. The first video I found shows a game with 4 trees, 4 baskets, and the spinning wheel in the middle of the board. Which makes much more sense, compared to the current version. To play, we gonna have to use some kitchen cups. The spinning wheel has these options: take 1, 2, 3, or 4 cherries off the tree; a bird and a dog, where you loose one cherry; and an option to loose all cherries. That's it. It could use more variety, even for this age group. My other problem, is that my kid found an alternative use for the game: he likes pushing cherries through the holes. He also puts them in his mouth, because they are tiny and "cute". And of course, all pieces have been all over the floor a couple of times already. We had better luck with Sneaky Squirrel, another game I got from Amazon. It has similar concept, and we've started playing it right away, without all these annoyances.

My 5 year old is crazy about this game!
I purchased the HiHo Cherry-O game for my son. I was already familiar with the game because my sons grandmother owns it and plays the game with my son when he visits. He loves the game so much that I bought him the board game to play here as well. The game is very simple to play, but exciting for children. There can be up to 3 players at a time. It includes 11 apples (1 extra of each color) and 10 of which you have to place on all of he trees. You assemble the spinner and remove the apples from your tree to the basket. If you get a dog or a cat you must remove 2 apples from the basket and put it back on your tree. Whoever gets all of the apples into the basket wins the game. I am overall satisfied with the board game. I recommend it for all little kids as it is such popular hit with my son!

This was a great price and the 4 year old loves to play ...
This is a huge hit with my 4, 7, and 9 year old. I have been looking for games that my 4 year old can play since he keeps asking to play Monopoly and the Words with Friends board game. I went with this one instead of Monopoly Jr. because of the price, I figured if he could understand this game and take care of it then we can expand his collection to games over $10. I was going to purchase Candyland next probably and then either the Monopoly Jr., Chutes and ladders or Don't break the Ice. This was a great price and the 4 year old loves to play it the most and the 7 and 9 year old probably wouldn't choose it first with other options presented but they do enjoy playing it as well. Very simple game. Good for the little ones who can count and understand simple instructions.

I remember playing this as a kid and so does my husband. My kids love board games and we decided to buy this for my daughter's 4th birthday. As a homeschool family, it's always nice when a fun activity, like a board game, also has educational value. Well we had it for a week or two before we ever opened it because we were waiting for my daughter's party when she would receive her presents. How disappointing! The game play is certainly as my husband and I remember but the quality of the board is terrible. Very thin cardboard and NOTHING else. We had to reinforce it with tape during our very first game! Even though the price point is good, I'm still not sure it is worth bothering with! My husband plans to make a similar game for our family with wood and marbles. This thing is already shot!!!! My kids loved it but really, my daughter's birthday was only 10 days ago and I am tired of fixing it. I'm giving more stars than I really want to because it's a classic and it's got a cheap price. If it wasn't cheap, it would get one star

Love, Love, Love this game
This game is the newer version of the game. It has three different color cherries or apples as my kids like to say. This has always been a go-to game with my children and grandchildren. It is easy to play. The kids enjoy putting the cherries on the trees either with the stems out or in the holes. Of course, they are not too happy about the bird eating all their cherries or the dog knocking over their baskets (as indicated on the spinning wheel) but they still laugh and move on. They love when they get to pick cherries to put in their baskets. This game teaching that things happen and it teaches them to deal with it and move on because that is life. It teach counting and sportsmanship.

Not what I remember, but still worth purchasing.
I was disappointed to discover that HiHo Cherry-O is no longer the larger game with the 4 buckets for each player. This game is one bucket that all 3 players share, and is only capable of a max of 3 players. I should have read the description a little closer instead of assuming it was the same as when I was a child. With that said though, I would still purchase it. :) I wasn't prepared for the changes but it has not stopped us from playing. It just lacks the personal nostalgia I expected. Good game for the price though and worth the money.

My Daughter Loves it!
I had heard of this game before, but had never played it before buying it for my 4 Year Old daughter. We play this as a family (for the kids)Pros:- Simplicity (My daughter learned the rules really quick so more time was spent playing instead of explaining the rules over and over)- Educational (My daughter gets practice counting)- A game can be played quickly (so you aren't making a huge commitment when you start the game)- My daughter is learning to accept that sometimes you win and sometimes you loseCons:-The board is just flimsy paperboard- A max of 3 playersOverall, I am happy I purchased this. My daughter loves it!
