Marvel: Remix

This is a great, quick card game if you like Marvel. All you do is draw a card from one of three places (2 decks and a discard area), then discard a card.There is some nice theming here in that you get bonuses for combining things that make sense in the Marvel universe. Thor and his hammer. Captain America and assembling a bunch of heroes. A team of X-men, etc. On the other hand, it kind of means that if you have a decent number of Asgard cards, you probably should keep building an Asgard team to maximize your chances of having a decent score, since the game is over quickly.Pros and Cons(+) Setup and play time is quick. Great filler game or 'after dinner' card game.(+) The theme comes through nicely. Pretty great artwork. Tags are easy to read and distinguish. Overall just a great design graphically speaking.(-) I would like to see more cards, personally. There is a Tony Stark / Iron Man card but no Pepper Potts, Warhammer, Jarvis?(-) I think some balancing is needed. The villains in particular range from punishing you unless you take a kind of bad card to cancel them out, to (e.g. Sauron) allowing ridiculously high scores if combined with certain hero cards.(-) In a similar vein, the luck of the draw is a bit too strong of a factor. I think across multiple games, skill and strategy prevail, but a given game can really swing in favor of whoever started with decent cards and/or had good cards come out. This could perhaps be addressed by bumping up the power of some cards to make other strategies viable, or extending the length of the game to 15 cards in the discard.I know I harped on the negatives a lot, but I really think this is great for when you just want to relax and play a quick 10 minute, relatively low thinking / low stress game with minimal setup. I would love to see an expansion that adds even more marvel characters and adds some other possible paths to victory.

Es un juego sencillo, pero entretenido... requiere un poco de comprensión del inglés, ya que la mayoría de las cartas tienen efectos que sirven para poder puntuarlas correctamente.El arte en las cartas es bueno, y viene en una caja pequeña que puede transportárse facilmente, no se requiere mucho espacio de mesa, entonces puede ser un buen juego para llevar a algún viaje.Basado en Fantasy Realms, pero he escuchado que está es una muy buena versión... de igual forma hay una versión de Star Trek para quienes prefieran esa franquisia.El precio recomendado es $500 mx, y a ese precio es muy buena compra.
