FoxAlien WM-3020 CNC Router for Metal Caving, 300W Spindle Linear Rails and Ball Screws 3-axis Milling Engraving Machine for Aluminum Copper Wood Acrylic

It's a smaller router then the others but perfect for what I need. The Driver parked across the street and the look on his face when he carried the heavy thing over too my door. Every thing was there and it went together easy. The little DC router motor was not as noisy as I had imagined but I'm still swapping it out for my brushless. It does not control speeds from the program, that's to bad but its OK. I wanted ball-screws and block rails. My 5w out, laser tree laser module did not fit at first so I needed to file the mount a little. Will be adding end thrust bearing to the ball screws and a sound proof cabinet with camera & lights next. Some other things to add, not sure yet how to wire up the laser (nothing in the manual about the plug and not sure if I can use the Y2 stepper plug for a 4th axis or it may be attached to Y1 and run together only. will be looking that up online later) Very happy with this little mill and did I say its small.....

First thing I was impressed with was that from the time I opened the box until I was making my first cuts was about 30 minutes! That was sooo nice! The next that was that the instructions were really well done and easy to follow as well. The cable managment and labeling was sooo nice to have too. It not only made it easy to hook up but makes it look so clean too. I am using UGS as my control software so didn't install anything but the driver from the included jump drive. I did 1 test cut in MDF and since them it hasn't cut anything but brass and aluminum. The machine is very ridgid and capable right out of the box but the included 300w spindle is definitely the weakest point IMO. That doesn't in anyway mean it cant handle it but I was having to be very conservative with the feeds and speeds to avoid the chatter and even with conservative cuts I still had chatter with any slotting cuts. I was able to make some nice chips using adaptive tool paths and then clean up the sides with contours.For me I wanted to be able to produce parts faster so I upgraded to an 800w spindle (shown in the videos) and was amazed at the difference. It really made this small machine do exactly what I was wanting with metal. It could do it without the upgrade but is so much faster now and I am getting noticeably better radial surface finishes.Last their customer service has been very responsive in answering any questions I have had.I would definitely recommend this cnc for someone new and looking to do anything with aluminum or brass.

Maskinen var väldigt lätt att sätta ihop och allt fungerar som väntat. Det tog ca en timme från att packa upp till att köra testfilerna som följde med på USB stickan. Har sedan testat att gravera liten text i powdercoat målade aluminium lådor (ca 0.1mm djupt) med mycket bra resultat. Har även testat borra aluminium lådor (ca 3mm tjocka) och det går bra med 300w spindeln som följer med om man kör många passes och bara tar lite djup varje pass (kommer nog ändå att uppgradera till en Makita eftersom jag kör mest aluminium). Hade några frågor som jag mailade FoxAlien om, och dom svarade snabbt.

On est sur une très bonne CNC pour debuter et même aller plus loin pour travailler l'aluminium. On sent que la broche est pas d'une gamme très élevée mais fait le job. Je pense qu'on la change quand on devient beaucoup plus expérimenté, pour aller plus loin. Woodmads a fait du bon boulot avec Foxalien en 1:00 j'ai fait un petit projet bois alu , voir les photos. Ça promet des heures de développement et de projets... j'espère que ça ve tenir la durée. Plus qu'à installer la CNC sur un petit établi fermé avec petit aspirateur pour travailler en appartement.Good job!

Sehr gute Verarbeitung und top Qualität. Nach langem überlegen dann doch gekauft und wurde nicht enttäuscht. Lieferung kam sehr schnell und bin sehr glücklich damit. Aufbau Anleitung via beigelegter Beschreibung bestens. Kann die Maschine empfehlen und würd sie nochmals kaufen. Top
