pretty good book
an end to the story of the three brothers.Jorund,Rolf, and Magnus....It's funny, sexy, charmingMagnus is a simple farmer. He loves the land, how to make things flourish and multiply...a father with 11 kids from 4 wives and six lovers and various one night after too much mead ...Worse, he has no mother for his herd of kiddies after all the parade of females through his life, Magnus has just been presented with a baby about a year old, told it's his, so he is somewhat of a joke in his Viking settlement. Taking his pride - and 9 of his children - he boards a longship and heads out to find Vineland in the new country. One of the 9 children is also the Seal student that Ragnor is mistaken for..Cut to present day, you meet Angela and her grandmother Rose, trying to save their family Vineyard and Winery. They are all that is left of their family. Angela is divorced, working as a real estate salesperson just so she can plough the money into saving Blue Dragon Winery, her grandmother's love. Rose wishes for lot of grandchildren, but see's no hope as Angela has divorced "the Creep" and shows no interest in men. What a grandmother to do?? She make a wish on her rosary for a big strong man and lots of grandchild...asap please.Off on the other side of the country, left in shame because of the kids antics, Magnus and his brood hit a strange fog that seems to have no end. Suddenly they enter a bright area, they have landed in Holly and Wood (hollywood) a most strange and adventuresome country.Naturally, Rose's wish has summoned him to where he and the children are very needed, but will Angela wake up and smell the wine??

So good, that I bought another copy after I wore out my paperback version!
I absolutely LOVE, Love, Love this book! I owned the paper back version with the original cover years ago, and loved it. After sharing it with my daughter, my husband, and a few friends, it wore out. Recently I bought the kindle version and re-read it again. It's still great, even after all these years. I think this is my favorite Sandra Hill book, and that's saying a lot, because I love all her Viking/ Navy Seal books. If you like romance, you'll love this book. If you like a bit of humor, you will love this book. If you want tragic heavy drama, go somewhere else. The dialog is quick and witty. The characters are precious, although I was a bit annoyed at the baby's dialog. She said, "Goo" a few too many times. I've raised four children, and they never said "goo."This book will just make you feel good, and glad you read it.

Love that Viking!
Sandra Hill just doesn't quit. She's the best ever! The Very Virile Viking is fantastic! All Sandra's books are fantastic. I am retired and don't get out much. I have read many, many books in my lifetime and some exceptionally good, but Sandra, you brighten my days and nights, even though most are sleepless because I lose tract of time when reading. Thank goodness I don't have to get up go to work anymore. I'd never make it on time. Thank you Sandra Hill !!

Father of the year!!!
How much do I love Magnus. He is wonderful father and a great character. He is tough when needed and very gentle when necessary. I love Ms. Hill' s viking stories. Her humor is always a treat, and can lighten any dark mood. A great read.

The Very Virile Viking
I give this book a four Stars because this story time travel was interesting and the characters interaction. It is one of the few time travel book that I like. I would highly recommend this to anyone who likes time travel with vikings.

Loved It - Another Fab Story
Just have to agree with the other reviews here - loved this addition to Ms Hill's Viking series, and the third about the Ericsson brothers. Although it appears that Ms Hill never intended to give Magnus his own story I am sure glad she did - not only does it tie off the family aspect to her series but it provides balance. I, for one, was wondering what happened to Magnus once Jorund was abducted by his amorous whale, Thora, in Truly, Madly Viking. This is, perhaps, the weakest of the three stories but Magnus is such a lovely character that I found myself overlooking the weaker aspects (the problems with the Blue Dragon Winery) and really rooting for them. Everything apart from Magnus' and Angela's love story tended to be placed lower down the scale and of less importance but, hey, this is a romance and it was fun. I have all the other Viking books on order now and am looking forward to some serious reading.

so funny ! :))
i like the viking-books so much, because they are not only funny, but the vikings are so manly and gorgeous *sigh* it is rare, that a male character is not only good looking in the face, but also have such gorgeous bodys ^^... sure, they are full of themselves, but they treat their women with love and care :)i like this book especially because of the main chara, magnus - i laughed so much while reading and it is so funny to follow his progress :)only handicap is the overmuch issue of breasts in the sex-scenes ... sure, some find it sexy, but it is too much *sigh* but this is s. hills writingstyle and you can overlook this while reading :))you should buy this book and read the other ones of her, because it is so good to read and a worthwhile reading :))thanx, bye, Blackie ^^... (sorry for my bad english, i am german ;)..)
