My Favorite Blades At Any Price
I bought a Vikings Blade Chieftain razor when I decided to started shaving with a DE razor, I followed the general consensus and bought the Feather Platinum blades. They're excellent, there's no two ways about it. And they're dead sharp from the moment you put them in. What I found was that for a beginner they can be too aggressive, and even though I don't suffer from sensitive skin and have a pretty tough face still prone to nicks when learning. I mean, that's part of the game. Those early days made me think it was the razor, not the operator (which is just silly, but why not assign blame where you can, right? LOL). In all seriousness, with a little more research and looking over Vikings Blade's data it did suggest using a milder blade. So I bought the Vikings Blade Mild blades. They helped, but I found I didn't find them aggressive enough, and they were quite a bit more expensive than the Feathers. So I went back to the Feathers and life was fine. Over the next several months, I sort of developed a razor hobby and collected several handles. A couple of those handles came with blades. One came with a few Dorco blades. I ignored them thinking they were junk. I don't remember what caused me to use them but I eventually did and was super impressed.I still ordered another pack of Feathers, but the more I used them the more I realized that I really liked the Dorco blades. I finally exhausted my supply of Feather blades and figured I'd take the chance and try the Dorco blades again. I ordered the 301s in a pack of 100. I was worried that they'd be a different model than the ones which had been provided but nope... they're at least as good as the ones that originally impressed me. I love these blades and are now my absolute go-to blade. I still think the Feather is an amazing blade, but I find the Dorco blades to be more comfortable, last every bit as long, and are significantly cheaper (meaning I won't hesitate to pitch one when it begins to feel questionable). That's huge. Some have noted that they seem to sharpen up over uses. I agree. I've found that even the Feathers tend to do this, though quicker than the Dorco blades, but not by enough to make any sort of difference, and they cut just fine on the first use; they just get... better. These are great blades. If you're a Feather fan or have been pushed to use those (not bad advice) I'd give you one more reason to try the Dorco 301 blades. I've yet to find a better blade, and I really, really enjoy using them.

Perfect blades, at least for my skin and beard.
Perhaps like me, you finally threw up your hands in disgust one day and said paying Gillette $40 or more for 12 blade cartridges was getting a little out of hand. I see some stores actually have those blade cartridges locked up and need to be retrieved by a clerk! They make a fine product that gives a wonderful shave, of course. But on a business trip I happened to sit next to a Gillette executive and asked him why their blades had become so expensive. He said their product had cost a billion dollars to develop (um, this isn't the space shuttle here), but then added only half joking that also it was to pay for his bonuses! That conversation is what finally pushed me over the edge to explore using a safety razor as my father had done along with the rest of the male shaving world a generation ago. There's a much smaller frame of reference, user wise, to ask opinions of and to get advise, other than online blogs. I followed the advise on one web site, to opt for one of the blade variety packs sold to expose you to different manufacturers and to experience which blades were most comparable to my individual skin, beard and sensitivity. I'd also read rave reviews of Japanese, Feather brand blades and their infamous surgical sharpness. I found them amazing blades, but for me they were actually too sharp! Dorco blades are made in Korea, a country distinguishing itself for cutting edge products and manufacturing; forgive the pun. They proved to be the sweet spot between the ideal sharpness, good longevity and durability, and excellent pricing. They cost about $ .06 a blade as opposed to Gillette's $3 plus each! The correct formula of which handle, which shave cream etc. still took some experimentation. But these Dorco blades are the cornerstone for me. I occasionally pop in a Feather blade to reaffirm my commitment to Dorco and inevitably my face looks like I'd been in some unsavory back alley knife fight with a gang of assailants. It's still good advise for anyone starting with a safety razor to buy one of those variety bundles of blades. For me though, I cannot recommend these blades highly enough. As close and safe a shave as Gillette at one fiftieth the cost!

A Good Quality Blade
As a barber I’m shaving necks to add dollars to my checks. This is a consistently good blade. Every once in a great while I’ll encounter a dud, but that’s true about all things in life. I use these for neck shaves, eyebrow detailing, and face shaves. Even though I haven’t tried them on my legs or bikini region, I’m sure they’d work great. In my opinion the key to success is using a new blade every time. And the price is good enough, it shouldn’t be a problem.

Used the first side of the first blade for several months now.
This would honestly be a lifetime purchase I believe I ordered 2 orders of the 2 boxes. But as one razor. Is still sharp after 3 months just using one side no nicks or issues ..... By the time I wear the first one out. Could be just over a year....Based on that and howany I bought ... I honestly think this is a lifetime supply I do clean my blade once I'm done and dry immediately I always suggest that but wow. Frickin better than the throw away razors and running out of heads or buying the wrong ones. This. With the old fashion safety razor has changed my morning routine

Belle lame
