Swanson Zinc & Vitamin C Lozenges 25/100 Milligrams 200 Lozenges

At the suggestion of one of my doctors I started taking both Vitamin C and Zinc. Wanting to make things easier on myself I decided to switch to a combination pill.I searched and landed on this selection.Because it contains Vitamin C it has a pleasant hint of orange. Because it contains Zinc it has a slightly off flavor,Overall, not a bad pill to take. I follow the directions and allow it to dissolve in my mouth. I drink fluids both before and after.I can't attest to whether or not the pill prevents any specific malady. But, as only a personal notice, I haven't been sick since I started taking them. That's only me! Any benefit you get yourself is entirely a personal matter.Great price for these! I'm getting them on the Subscribe-And-Save plan which makes them an even better deal. And, I don't have to think about when to order or worry about running out.

When you first feel a cold coming on start sucking on these throat lozengers! It really helps get rid of the cold symptoms immediately!!! The longer you wait to take them the harder it is to get rid of your cold. But these lozengers really reduce the length of your cold. Family member who all started a cold in our family at the same time - the ones who used these had a cold for one week and after 3 days was doing soooo much better. Whereas the ones who did not take the lozengers had a cold for 2 weeks and was miserable for a week before they showed signs of getter better. You can take Vitiamin C and Cold Ezze throat lozeners separately, but it doesn't seem to help as fast. And Cold Ezze leaves such a horrible metal taste in your mouth while using them and for 3 days after you stop using them. I won't take Cold Ezze just because of that horrible metal taste. These lozengers don't leave that taste in your mouth. Worth every penny if you buy these. I always a bottle of these on hand for winter and summer colds!

This has the same outside texture as a chewable. I think of a lozenge as a hard candy, like a cough drop. These are not that. In my mouth they have the same feel as a chewable. The taste is bitter like a pill. I live too far out of town to return them. The cost of gas to get to town and back is more than I'd get back. I'm thinking I will try to crush them up and see if the chickens will eat them. Otherwise it will be an expensive lesson as I unfortunately got two bottles of this trash. They should not call these lozenges, because they are not, and they are the worst tasting supplement I've ever put in my mouth. I hate to throw things in the trash, so I may try to get people to try them to see if I can find anyone who may want them. I hope it doesn't cost me any friends, but if I warn them first it may prejudice their decision. But the taste is so offensive that I doubt anyone will take them. And I wonder if the chickens will even eat them 🤷🏻‍♂️ They're bad, very bad.Edit: I didn't even ask for a refund, I just posted this review, which is accurate. However, it didn't hurt to try it as they're giving me a full refund. They didn't ask me to update my review, but knowing this is the way the vendor conducts business makes me more likely to try other products from them. And if I was considering this product, I would find value in this update.

Love this product. So effective and low cost alternative to Zicam or Coldeez. Large quantity bottle allows me to pop one at first sign of cold!!

This product if you take it morning noon and night when you start feeling well I believe it's a great preventative and if you have a sore throat and not feeling well definitely take it wonderful product

Very good product.

This is a pressed tablet, not a lozenge. It breaks up quickly in your mouth like an aspirin making lots of gritty hard small pieces that get into your already inflamed throat causing more irritation and coughing. The flavor starts out tasting like citrus but changes to a less pleasant taste as the tablet breaks down. The form of zinc used is reported to be better absorbed and would be perfect in a hard candy real lozenge that could coat and sooth your throat but this one doesn't coat or soothe. There are 25 mg of Zinc in each tablet. Two tablets exceed the 40 mg amount found to cause upset stomach symptoms in many people. Two tablets are not likely to fix a sore throat. To better expose my throat to Zn over a longer time, I put one tablet into a glass of warm water and slowly sipped the water. Four drops of sweetener improved the taste. The vapor from the water helped to unstop my sinuses. I found it curious that a tablet that dissolved so quickly in my mouth took a long time to break apart in a glass of water.
