Egg Theft Adventures
With the fourth and final Twitchers novel released this week (1st Feb), I thought I'd better get my skates on and read the third book in the series - Clutch by M. G. Leonard. The fabulous cover artwork is another beautiful nature scene by Paddy Donnelly.Once again, it did not disappoint and this was another cracker of a read. This time, Twitch, Jack and the rest of the gang discover that there are egg thieves in Aves Wood. With the Canal Masters fishing championships taking place in Briddvale this results in a whole host of possible suspects for the Twitchers to investigate. The arrival of a pair of rare birds ensures the gang have to come up with a plan to protect their nest. But when suspicion for the egg thefts take an unexpected turn, the Twitchers' investigative skills are severely tested in order to solve the crime. This is such a gripping read with lots of twists and turns in the plot. Each of the characters have a part to play in the case, using their individual strengths, but also working together as part of the Twitcher team. It's a story of knowing right from wrong, strong friendships and loyalty. You'll learn plenty more interesting facts about the bird world, and if you"ve loved the previous books in this series, you are guaranteed to enjoy this latest installment!

Another nature mystery to solve
I very much enjoyed the first two books in the series so I was excited to read this one. (You don’t have to have read the previous books though to enjoy this one).I did find it took a little while for me to get into it, but then I raced through to the end.Twitch and his gang return, and this time they need to save the eggs in Aves Wood from an unknown egg-collector. Jack is keen to solve the mystery and figure out who is stealing the eggs. I did guess quite early on, but it was still a satisfying conclusion.Young nature-lovers and mystery-lovers will enjoy this new book in the series.
