Not Bill and Becky's?
I don't understand how someone can use the Bill Lawrence name and model number? These pups sound good, but are not made to the same standards as my authentic ((ordered by telephone after speaking with Becky)) Don't understand the statement on the label about legal bs....im not interested in that. If they aren't real Bill Lawrence pickups then use the words designed by or something.

A great Fender sounding humbucker
I got several of these back when Stew Mac sold them in their catalogue. I think a little over $30.00 in those days. They are in the front and middle positions of a cheap Ibanez "superstrat" I got years ago. In the rear is a Bill Lawrence L500XL. This is a very clean, not super high output Fender strat sounding pickup. The only issue I had was one was microphonic when I got it. I sent it back to Stew Mac and they sent another that was OK. I liked the idea of a blade pole piece so you don't bend out of the magnetic field. I believe Joe Perry used these when they were new on the market years ago. All in all, a good sounding, affordable replacement humbucker for a strat sized mounting. The only reason not 5 stars was the microphonic issue. You may have to pick thru them if you use a lot of volume and gain.
