M.2 to USB Docking Station, RIITOP M.2 NVMe SSD to USB-C Reader Adapter for Both M.2 (M Key) NVMe SSD and (B+M Key) SATA-Based SSD

Use this to clone my laptops boot 128gb SSD to 256gb and it did an excellent job of it.

Good speeds, but just one issue is that there is no protection for the M2 drive. It would be better if there were a plastic shroud to prevent breakage, or if were to lie flat. Very compact and ligjhtweight.

The unit is clearly well made and works as expected. Unfortunately it shares a problem with many similar products:The entry point for the drive is counter-sunk.This makes it almost useless for drives with heat sinks. In my case it was able to establish contact long enough to do a 240Gb copy at acceptable speed, but the slightest jolt would have caused problems, as I discovered when doing a read test.NOTE to manufacturers: If you want your docking stations to work with *all* m2 drives, DON'T counter-sink the entry point, no matter how chic it might look.

I still give 3 stars due to the manufacturing quality, but compatibility seems to be hit and miss. I tried with a very standard Samsung NVMe from a 2015 laptop and the drive is not seen.I will update this review if I have the opportunity to try other drives.Update: Just got an Intel 670p, still doesn't work, either on Windows 11 or Linux, and with other cables. Last chance later on if I can put my hand on a M2 rather than a NVMe.

Bisher hat die Dockinstation alle SSDs erkannt.

Leider erkennt das Gerät den Samsung 860 EVO M.2 SSD-Speicher nicht. Man kann die Speicherkarte auch nicht initialisieren. Die gleiche Karte aus dem Notebook erkennt das Gerät allerdings sehr wohl. Irgendwie unklar.
