My toddler loves it!
My son really loves it. It's very durable for kids. My toddler has dropped or thrown a couple times and it's never gotten a scratch or anything so far. He really loves the activities and games on it. Super kid friendly. Theres even a 3 month free trial and prices are slightly dropped when you do pay monthly after the 3 months are up. Though if you already have a free trial running before you bought this. I suggest ending the old one and restart a new one on the tablet. (Only way it seemed to work to get the 3 months free trial) which wasnt too big of a issue.

I’m loving it !
My son absolutely loves it. The speaker on it is very loud. Which is great. It charges fast. The extent of the parental control you have over it is amazing. You can set it to only be played with for a couple of hours at a time which is what I normally do. The stylus is so cute and works wonderfully. The academy app is great and all of the apps you can buy are limitless. I like how you can just buy an app through your phone for leapfrog and it instantly downloads to the tablet.

Great Product
This is a wonderful product that can teach kids so much about general knowledge as well as how to work a tablet and adapt to the new style of learning through technology. The only reason I don't give it five stars is because after time like all other devices, its battery depletes and doesn't hold a charge as long. One other thing that bothered me was how expensive buying anything in its app store is. Everything on there seems to be rather pricey, but, can you really put a price on your childs education... You do have the ability to download a third party app store (google playstore) and download the not so educational apps, which I have done so that Netflix could be added. With that being said, the parental controls are great and allow the child to only access what you want them to access. In conclusion, I would by this time after time as it really is a great product for kids. (It's actually the second one we've bought)

Great educational entertainment for kids but get a screen protector!
My only complaint about the Epic is the screen seems to scratch easily, but that has more to do with how my wife and toddler handle it than LeapFrog's design. I should have put on a screen protector from day one. Otherwise, it's very easy to use, can be linked to the Amazon app store for free apps, and the educational apps LeapFrog offers are far superior to most freemium ad-filled garbage you'll find on iTunes. The only non-Leapfrog app I put on the tablet is Netflix for the kid shows. Great to keep kids entertained and learning on road trips or situations where you can't afford to have a screaming toddler sprinting around in public.

My son's favorite Christmas gift
I got this for my 11 year old son who has Down Syndrome. This was his favorite Christmas gift. I will admit that we are not using the academy feature because I decided I didn't want my son using it with the internet enabled. It works great. The time feature that lets me limit the time used per day, is my favorite. It is very easy to extend the limit by 30 minutes or the rest of the day, like when we are traveling. Great purchase.

I bought this thing 6 months ago and I hate it. It really boils down to a few things that I think other shoppers should be mindful of.1. No cartridge. This may sound like not a big deal but hear me out. The leapfrogs that have the cartridges allow you to buy games used, and save a ton of money. Another issue I feel is important is when my kids bday rolled around you have nothing to wrap and give them to open. I was left with having to print up a picture of the purchase and let him unwrap that. That may seem silly to some of you but he is 3 and if it doesn't come out of wrapping paper it didn't happen; also it makes me feel like crap when we are having a birthday party and most of his gifts are leapfrog games and it looks like you didn't get your child much because it's all digital.2. The academy edition is a joke. they are not giving you free anything, they are having you put your credit card information in and will start billing you monthly after your "free trial" is up.3. The design isin't so kid friendly. my kid chewed the tip off the stylus on the first day. That thing was not built to last at all.
