A fun, fantastical read
Prelude to Mayhem is a creative and interesting combination of fantasy, dystopian, and science fiction with two strong central characters. I really enjoyed the book. The story moves along quickly, full of adventures with crisp, clear writing. Delightful bits of humor and quirky weirdness are woven among poignant, thoughtful moments and plenty of suspense. Well-done! I'm looking forward to the next book!

A World That Never Existed Brought to You by Edward Aubry
Edward Aubry writes about what he knows. Sci-fi, fantasy, action, and an over-flowing knowledge of just about everything. He's bothered by details that you wouldn't notice. He travels like a juggernaut to the conclusion of a thought. In essence, he makes each and every journey worth the price of admission."Prelude to Meyhem" is his first adventure. It combines all of the best parts of Ed's expertise and imagination to create a world that never stops improvising and creating. You're there. You see through the eyes of these characters. You live this book.

Couldn't put it down!
I read the original book, Static Mayhem, and was very glad that, in this iteration of the story, the author included more detailed storylines of the other characters who play only bit roles in the first book. I'm mostly an audio book listener and wasn't thrilled with the narrator, but even with that, I finished this book in record time.

Highly recommended.
Edward Aubry's writing and story telling is always riveting and so well done. Every book I've read of his has been a page turner and this is no exception. Highly recommended.

I am halfway through Prelude to Mayhem, and I ...
I am halfway through Prelude to Mayhem, and I left it in my spouse's car! This is not a drill, people. Normally, I would just read another book in the interim but I am way too sleep deprived to follow two different plots right now. So I came here to maybe buy a copy for kindle, but jokes on me, the kindle is also in the car. Oh also, the book is written from two different perspectives that are very distinct, and I never had that "wait, whose chapter is this?" grossness.
