Easy SpiritWomen's Romy Leather Walking Shoe

Great shoes for style, fit and quality, but there is an issue with slippery soles when wet. If you are "of an age" be careful. I wore the shoes for walks etc, shopping for a couple of weeks before we had rain; all was well. Then we had a good soaker, and after sloshing across the Walmart parking lot and entering the store, I slipped several times once inside the store (the floor was dry, but the bottom of the shoe remained slippery. It's like there is a spot on the ball of the foot, between the treads (which certainly appear adequate--its the spot between the treads that is slick, I believe. I have also slipped on my own kitchen floor several times after walking outside on wet leaves, etc. My first pair of Easy Spirit sneakers were totally reliable in this respect. Now, I will only wear in dry weather. If I hadn't worn them for two weeks I would have returned them.

I work retail and my store has the hardest floors on the planet. I have planter fasciitis in my left heel and neuropathy in my left toes...........something I just suffered through, when I got home from work I could barely walk. 3 months ago I broke my right ankle.....why couldn't I have broke the "bad" foot!! I thought that perhaps now the left one would have time to heal. I've been back to work for 2 weeks now and the broken right side feels like a champ but the bad left side went right back to being just as painful. I heard about Easy Spirit shoes and did some research. Worth a try I thought, they were just as expensive as the "good" shoes I've been buying for years and I was desperate for some relief. HALLELUJAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I usually have to break shoes in but these shoes felt like the clouds parted and the sun shined down on me during my entire shift! I had read that the neuropathy could be just too tight shoes and I always buy wide shoes but with these Easy Spirit shoes my toes felt happy and I never ONCE had to take off my shoes to check if my socks were bunched up (compression socks, they are NEVER bunched up). I bought the wide ones and they felt wider than the wide ones of another brand but don't look wider. I will forever be an Easy Spirit customer from this day forward. SOOOO HAPPY!!

This shoe saved my life when I had to accompany an 8th grade class to Disneyland in 2006. After wearing a brand new pair on that 5-day trip, I came home and bought two more identical pairs on sale and put them away for future use. I discarded that very first pair of Romys about a year ago. They had long since become my grunge work shoes and were really worn out with practically smooth soles; meanwhile I was also using the first of my backup pairs for everyday wear. Those shoes have become my grunge pair since then and I am currently wearing the second back-up pair for better-dressed occasions. I recently ordered this fourth pair to be sure I won't ever have to go without my favorite walking/living shoes. They are incredibly comfortable and last a long, long time with frequent use.

These are very nice shoes. I work in a garment factory and am on my feet all day. I have had many shoes that just kill my feet. These are wonderful! Now truth be told I am overweight and that only makes things worse on my feet. I am on a diet but have so much to loose before my weight will not be affecting my feet. So you can tell by looking at the picture they are not breathable. I knew that buying them and they work well in cold weather but they do get a bit hot. They are also a bit heavy and that is hard with someone on their feet all day. But they add a comfort to your feet that sometimes makes it worth it. I alternate these between my skechers depending on how my feet feel. The skechers are much lighter and breathable. However these shoes are such good quality they will definitely outlast my skechers. They are pretty too! I have wide feet and I ordered 8w and they fit perfect! I have found by alternating these with my other pair makes a great deal of difference! My feet feel better! Finally, finally!!! Months of research, trying on, returning etc..I have found a sneaker that fits and gives me support everywhere I need it. I have severe peripheral neuropathy and my feet have lost all feeling and I need a shoe that fits perfectly and has excellent support and holds my feet perfect because I can't do it. I am so incredibly happy. Now if I can only find a slipper too!!

I'm on my feet alot. I use to have problems with my feet being very painfull. Not only did they hurt while I was standing up, they would throb when I would sit down. When I would stand back up, the shooting pain I would experience made it hard to walk. I tried these shoes after reading reviews by others with my problem. Like them, my pain has gone away. Even aflter being on my feet for eight to ten straight hours my feet don't hurt.(My knees and legs do) I have tried many different brands with little or no results. These shoes aren't as durable as I would like, other brands last longer. I am hard on shoes and use these in a lot of mud and rain doing farm work, so I need to replace these every four to five months. In drier weather and on pavement they would probably last longer. Even so, I still buy these for the comfort which is the most important for me. I would definitly recommend these shoes to anyone with serious foot pain.

I have been buying this style Easy Spirit shoe for close to twenty years. Every so often I try something different but NOTHING is as comfortable as these shoes RIGHT OUT OF THE BOX; I never need to break them in. I wear orthotics in my shoes because I have plantar fasciitis; I do not need to remove the insole in these to make room for the orthotics which is another plus. Whether or not you have trouble with your feet, I can't recommend these shoes highly enough.They have been a lifesaver for me. I'm wearing a brand new pair of black Romy's as I write this that I just put on a few hours ago; they feel like I've been wearing them for weeks - they are that comfortable. For the price I don't think you will find a more comfortable, well-made shoe.

I haven't yet walked in them but they feel really comfortable. I am very happy with this purchase.

Excellent; fits my wide feet perfectly& very comfortable; has good quality durable material;lasts a long time. We will more when it becomes available again; very difficult to obtain in Canada; no stores have it in the wide size nor carry EZ Spirit brand.

Enfin des baskets confortables. Jusqu'à maintenant toutes mes baskets me faisaient mal au pieds, le temps de les faire. Je marche beaucoup et j'ai du mal à trouver des chaussures dans lesquelles je me sens bien. Avec ses chaussures, c'est la première fois que je suis à l'aise. Je les recommande.
