I really really tried to like it, but it's pitiful.
Let me start off this review by saying that I'm a "knife guy". Benchmade, Spyderco, Leatherman, etc., you get the point.I use one almost every day for work, and I've been looking for a folding, slim, tip-up carry, disposable pocket knife. I much prefer swapping in a new blade rather than sharpening or cleaning up a blade, and box cutters blades are ubiquitous, so in theory, it should work well. I was trying to replace an old lockback style knife I carry everyday that's a bit thicker and overall more cumbersome (or so I thought). I tempered my expectations for a sub-$25 knife, but I was still underwhelmed. The good:- Feels sleek in the handle, very compact when folded. Comfortable, too.- The wire cutter feature on it is smart and I'd like to see that implemented by others.- The blade is easily changeable, took mere seconds figure it out.The bad:- The detent that holds this knife closed is WAY too strong. Like, "I'd need to be a gorilla to open it with one hand"-kinda strong. Maybe this will loosen up over time, but a good knife should be good out of the box.- The framelock is way too strong from the factory. I've been working it a little bit and it's loosed up slightly, but my fingers are totally raw. It's borderline unusable, you need two hands to open AND close it. 'Tradesmen' want ease of use and convenience. This ain't it.2 stars because it impressed in some areas and downright disappointed in others. I am considering returning it for my money back, I will need to use it for a day and see if I can break it in.

I wanted to love it
First off I love the new products and direction by Schrade. I have a couple of their newer knives and they have really stepped up their game in design and quality. This utility knife is ergonomic, light, and quite sturdy. For the two months I’ve been using it I have preferred it to my previous few cutters, as far as EDC qualities go. Unfortunately, I had to stop using it due to the fact that the blade retention is really subpar. I’ve lost count how many times I have been using it in a light duty task, and the razor blade basically flew out, almost nicking me a couple of times. If Schrade can address this issue, then this could be one of the best EDC cutters on the market, especially for the price. But until then, sadly, I can’t recommend it for daily use due to the safety concerns.

Everything the Gerber eab should have been.
This is a great utility knife that carries and works just like a pocket knife. It carries tip down and tool less blade changes. Unlike the Gerber eab its a little longer for bigger hands and control.Edit. Blade does come out if material or thumb hits blade lever.

It is cool
it was one of those impulse purchase, I get comments, people say where did you get that!! it is built solid, I'll buy it again if for some reason I loose it, Great fun gift for someone you don't know what to get this is it. It's build quality alone make it a conversation piece
