Better than expected
My rating system:5 stars - Absolutely loved it! I would definitely read again anytime!4 stars - Really liked it! Will most likely read again sometime.3 stars - Liked it. Glad I read it but probably won't read again.2 stars - Didn't like it. Glad I'm done with the book and I'll never read it again.1 star - Very rare rating. Absolutely hated the book. Will never read again and I'll probably burn any copies I come across.I gave the elf and fae books 3 stars each. I liked the elf book better than the fae book but it wasn't a definite re-read for me. I expected this book to be the same, a cute and fun story without too much depth, just a quick read. I was surprised at how much I liked this story! The curse was very interesting, I liked the characters, the love/hate struggle seemed to flow better and be more real than the fae book. I had to up my review to 4 stars for this one.

Five stars is not enough!
I thought the first book was so good that nothing would ever compare so I didn't even want to read this one. I'm so glad I got over that stupidity! In my very humble opinion, this is the best book I've read all year! I don't even know what else to say. I felt as despondent as they all did during different scenes when the curse was not broken. I'm actually still rifling through my emotions after reading this incredible story! I honestly did not want to leave Tempost! I want more of it! You know a story is really good when it carries you away with it. And this one did. I was crying by the end of it and it made the redemption so much sweeter. Please don't ever stop writing Elise Kova! I am enraptured by your world and this particular book is going into my physical library. Maybe one day I can have you sign it for me.

Action-packed romance
Yes, it is time for another of my guilty pleasures—fantasy romance novels written by Elise Kova. If you’ve followed our blog for a while, you know I’ve read every book in this series so far. I have no regrets.I’ll admit, I was a little nervous about this one. The protagonist, Floriane, is a blacksmith. My dad has done some blacksmithing, and now my husband has his own forge and is obsessed with the show, FORGED IN FIRE. I was so nervous that my prior knowledge would not allow me to suspend my disbelief, but Kova has clearly done her homework. At the very least, she knows the process enough to write about it, and that is awesome.Another thing that surprised me about this book was the surplus of action. The other two books in this series had some action scenes, sure, but this book hinged on those action scenes. Honestly, there were more action scenes than romance scenes, and that made me quite happy.Speaking of romance, I’ve not read any enemies to lovers romance novels until this month (starting with Kiss Curse and ending with this novel). I’m surprised to find I’m a fan because I’ve never found the concept realistic. Given, I’ve lived my life with only one enemy, and he was the epitome of evil.Ruvan and Floriane were both like-able main characters, and I was happy to root for them. The romance was hot when it needed to be but also heartbreaking. If you’re in the mood for some escapism, I strongly suggest this series.

An original take on Vampires, or Vampir!
I LOVED THIS!!!Kova never disappoints. I was so excited to finally read this new story in the Married to Magic world!! First there was the Elves, then the Fae, now the Vampires and next will be the Sirens! I don’t want the stories in this world to end!Ruvan, the Vampire Lord, and Floriane have such a slow-burning, but beautiful relationship. Ruvan is so gentle and kind. Floriane really lucked out by being blood sworn to him. Although it doesn’t appear so at first. This was adventurous, with plenty of twists and turns, it had FANTASTIC world building, and well rounded characters! The plot had me on the edge of my seat, wondering what was going to happen!All-in-all, this was a BRILLIANT Fantasy Romance story!! It will look so nice on my bookshelf with the first two books in this world!

Talk about a slow burn
I really did like this one, and I loved the twists and vampires, but woof, the internal monologs are hefty. I do not need to know her every thought and then the history behind that thought. It was getting the point of entire pages of internal thoughts between dialog. Otherwise it was a great story.

Amazing Read!
I wasn’t sure about this book going in, but wow, it was amazing. So well written, with characters the reader becomes attached to, and an emotional link to every characters outcome. I was sad to reach the end, I just wanted to devour more of this story. Would recommend to anyone.

Elise Kova does it again!!
4.8 ⭐This was my FAVOURITE of this standalone series so far!I loved seeing the vampires in this world and the further world building Elise created within this book. The slow burn romance and slowly realising that they are actually on the same side was so exciting to see unfold and their development from enemies to lovers 😍 it something Elise does so well. The character Arc of Flor was brilliantly crafted throughout the book, with a lot of character growth and I think out of the three female leads from this series so far, she is the one I feel I related to most. This was a ride and a half which had me on the edge of my seat and not wanting to put the book down.I would highly recommend this book if you love any of the following things: Vampires, enemies to lovers, slow burn romance, abandoned castles, monsters, curses, magic, romance, fantasy, secrets!

What a journey!
Loved reading development of Floriane's character from beginning to end. Ruvan evolved from being somebody who just turned up to do his job til the end of his days to being able to see a future through it all. He was surrounded by an interesting crew as well. This book can be read as a stand alone. I hope some film/tv producer picks up the Married to Magic series because it is amazing. Wonderful read as always from Elise Kova. Many thanks.

Never disappoints
I absolutely love Elise Kova’s fantasy world. The way she writes, and that all of her novels I’ve read so far are full of twists.I always suspect something at the beginning that will be thoroughly destroyed and built back up, leaving droplets that will allow me, the reader to come to the conclusions alongside the heroine.I can’t wait to reading more.

brilliant from start to finish
Really quick paced intricate story of love and destiny. Read it just before Halloween which added to its appeal. The love is believable and the descriptions are beautiful. Great twists along the way, kept you guessing and entertained til the last page. Another fantastic book by Elise, thank you I love this series.
