Glad this is out here
I am glad there are weighted utensils for ET’er’s! Did it help me? No not one bit! However, everyone is different! They are a bit larger than your normal utensils and they aren’t overly heavy but they’re heavy. I think this was the heaviest I found! I would recommend them to anyone. Like I said didn’t work for me, doesn’t mean it won’t for you! I did have DBS surgery in June 2024! Here’s hoping that helps for good!! Good luck to the family of ET.

100% would recommend
A relative had a situation where she couldnt make a closed fist. This made gripping a regular eating utensil impossible. These worked GREAT. She didnt feel helpless or like she couldnt eat by herself. Great product!!! My only issue is: we use the utensils 3 times a day. So they are washed 3 times a day. The rubber handle with its slots HOLD water and do not dry so fast. I end up tapping the utensil against the counter to get all the water out so it dries and doesnt drip into her food or make the handle slippery. THANK YOU to the makers of this product. : )

Handy tools
These adaptive silverware help me eat meals, as I have nerve damage. They are lightweight and easy to manage, especially when cutting.

Great price
It’s great for someone with Guillain-Barré syndrome. They are able to hold the utensils and I like the case

Mostly work well
These utensils are very helpful for my husband with Parkinson’s. They’re easy for him to grip. The only gripe I have is the smallest spoon is way too small to be useful. That spoon could’ve been eliminated from the grouping as far as I’m concerned. The other spoon is fine and is like a tablespoon size and works well for scooping up food.

EXCELLENT for the elderly
My 90 year old Mom has a lot of problems holding onto things, especially silverware! She drops them several times during her meal. Since getting this set, she's only dropped her fork 3 times in over a week. They are such a big help and makes our lives much less stressful!

Perfect For Arthritic Hands
My neighbor has arthritic hands and wrists, thus, trouble with ordinary eating utensils. I saw these on Amazon and bought them for her. Now, she can eat easily with little discomfort. The ergonomic handles fit an arthritic hand perfectly, are soft without being spongy and work effortlessly. The stainless steel is easily washed as is the handle. She no longer has to struggle with ordinary implements. If you or a loved-one needs help at mealtime, these make a huge difference. Buy with confidence.

Not for all Parkinson’s patients
Knives are very heavy. Weight can be too much for someone who is elderly or isn’t having external temors where they need to clutch to hold on. not all Parkinson’s patient exhibit exterior tremors. Some simply have a hard time controlling their muscles. If they’re elderly, they might not have a lot of strength. So why a puffy handle is good for grasping, heavy one will simply get dropped. Which is what was happening with this set. We’ve been able to find a vintage set that looks similar to this that isn’t so heavily weighted. We’ve also found some heavier than normal, but not too heavy flatware from restaurants that work as well.
