I started looking at various options for frying fish outdoors several weeks back. looked at dozens of portableelectric burners, induction burners, and propane burners used for frying turkeys. Then I came to a coleman, which led to the grill boss, and finally this Gas ONE. I went through so many reviews and videos not because of money, but because I wanted to do this just once. I used a Campsite Dutch oven very, very heavy, 1/3 full of oil, no problem.With either a small canister or large tank of propane it doesn't matter, both brings the oil up to 350 degrees quickly. Fried up 11lbs. of fillet of cod on a moderately windy afternoon with just the smaller canister of propane, no problem. I even had propane left afterwards. At 1500 BTUs I'm glad I went with this model, especially since the wind guard actually works. Truly portable, for me the best option for frying fish and chicken outdoors. Try it!

Had another stove nearly identical to this one that didn’t come with a case. That stove had a fight with a cast iron skillet will in transit and lost. This stove has been great so far. The case is “OK” could be sturdier but hey, it least it came with a case. I would say the only draw back thus far is that the windscreen is a bit of a pain to clean (on the trail) but cleans up nicely after a run in the dishwasher once home.

This gas stove is great to use and comes with a built-in windproof system. However, when the wind is strong, it's still best to use an additional windscreen. It supports two types of gas canisters, and using propane is the most convenient and affordable option, especially since it comes with an adapter. The only drawback is the poor quality of the plastic case it came in—it broke the first time it was dropped. Overall, I’m quite satisfied with this product

99% pleased with this purchase. The grate, because of all its many facets can be a bear and a hazard to clean so BE TIDY WHEN COOKING.PROS1. Excellent flame control; low simmer to raging.2. Efficient. 4 hrs, 20 mins on a single 1 lb Coleman propane canister. I am sure this will vary based on your style of cooking.3. Excellent wind guard design. I pointed an air circulator (not a fan) right at the stove. Flame 1, Wind 0.CONS1. Grate is a pain to clean. Use a strong bristle brush with long bristles so you can keep your fingers clear. My fear is cutting myself on one of the many facet edges on the grate. So, BE TIDY WHEN COOKING. The neater you are while cooking, the less you have to clean your grate.2. I wish GAS ONE made this stove in a two-burner model. I would snatched one up quick. I had to buy two stoves.

Must be a supplier issue. I already own this stove with the Propane hose adapter. I love the previous version and use it everyday without an issue. I was willing to try the "new and improved" model despite misgivings. The first stove that I recieved had mutiple defects (chipped or badly scratched enamel, fingerprints on the base, scratches on the temperature control knob, cracked carrying case, and the cover to the Butane compartment was unleveled and tiltled upwards.Okay, perhaps, I recieved a dud. Let's try it again. Oh no, no, no! Replacement stove (see photos) had all the aforementioned issues with the added bonus that the cover to the Butane compartment has an even bigger gap.I didn't use either stove due to dissatisfaction, disgust, and major dissappointment. Each stove was promptly returned to Amazon.I no longer trust GasOne and bought another stove from a competitor. Adios!

A rockstar! Love the power or choice of low simmer. No problems! This is my everyday cooking source. I’ve only used butane for ease, but glad it’s dual with gas for backup.

This little stove has been so easy to use when I’m camping for boiling water, or cooking a one pan or one pot meal, making coffee or tea that it’s my preferred method for use .My large 2 burner stove was not even used on my last 3 camping trips . I was impressed by how long the Gas One fuel canisters lasted and with the option to use the larger 1lb green canisters this little stove can meet 90% of your needs when camping, it’s become a primary component in my camping arsenal, would not camp without it . This would also be a nice addition to have in a emergency such as a power outage . I really , really like the convenience of the gas one fuel canisters when using this stove.

So far so good I love this thing 1 lb container the little canister and with a special hose I can hook it up to a 20 lb tank
