Fantastic cover. The pen pockets are big enough for sharpies or thin sized highlighter, and I have a AAA size penlight in one of the slots. Your book can close all the way, and it doesn’t have a bunch of puffy fabric between the cover and the pages, so there are fewer problems writing on the first or last few pages. The Velcro strap that keeps it shut is handier than I thought it would be and is now a favorite feature. The strap over the front works fairly well if your phone is in a case, especially if it is one of the silicone styles.I wish I had it years ago.

This book cover is awesome! Perfect for my deployed job over here. Plenty of pockets. Wish there was a Velcro patch on other side for another patch. I wasn't crazy about the shipping price. That being said, it came with a handwritten note thanking me for my service. Seller is a class act! This is made extremely well and will last a long time.

I'm an HM2 in the Navy. I like to use this on my 5x8 note book so I keep my sanity. I looked at many other field book covers, but each one had their drawbacks. I saw this one and knew that it had what I wanted and needed from a cover. The external pen pocket is great. Internal ones don't allow you to fully close your book and cause a nasty and cumbersome appearance. I also like the Velcro ID panels. I can use my name tape and rank identification from my IA with the Army. The back pocket comes in handy for little things that you may need in a meeting or a pinch I.e. Recall rosters, unit IMR, etc..As for the page marker, it would be nice to have a canvas marker in it, but I just half fold the pages in opposite directions to mark ones that are needed again or trash.

This product came exactly as described. Arrived in 3 days. Was a bit on the expensive end but maybe that is because its very durable. Only time will tell

Due to lack of photos/description, there are a couple things that I almost decided to give it a 3 instead of a 4, but because I ended up liking it more than when I first got it. When I received the cover, there was an additional spot for a patch that wasn't pictured or in the description. It is right over the pens. Plus, the sizing of patch placement is a bit off. It's a bit too small to completely fit the 1x4 name patch up top and the lower section is a bit to big for a 2x3 but a bit to small to put a 2x3 and 2x2, tho I can still fit 2 patches on the lower (two 2x2 or just can fit a 2x2 and one 2x3), which I think is pretty cool and is why I still gave it a 4. The other thing that almost gave it a 3 was I didn't think the pens and the lower patch would work. However, it does work. The spine is definitely sturdy. I almost gave this a 3 because the spine is so big, it's what made it just a bit short for the 1x4. Because I'm still able to fit the 1x4 on there and the spine is strong, I kept it a 4.

Fits little green books perfectly and holds what I need.

1st off I'm a sgt in the army, currently deployed. I've been using those green record type books to write literally everything down. I'm also a 12ND and I hate keeping pens in the uniforms pen sleeves because the pens fall out or I roll my sleeves up a bit. I practically sit on a engine all day.About the product: I gave it five stars, it was exactly what I was looking for. Looking at it when I received the cover the material and sewing appear high quality and looks like it can take a beating. I would buy this product again, if I had to but it looks like I'll be keeping it for a while, but I'd recommend this for other soldiers as well.
