Q: How far to set the sj-6 apart from each other? 53'x30' size of the house.

These temporary support jacks have weight limits listed in the product description in my application I was supporting a 8’ x 20’ three thousand pound roof and used 3 4x4 posts with 2 x 8’s screwed in a tee and set at a 35 degree angle for lateral support until the new permanent posts were in place, you can do a section one post at a time

Q: How deep does the post (4x4) sit within the box frame?

The inside depth is 5 inches, Don't forget to use the holes provided to screw the 4X4 in place for safety.

Q: How is the U-shaped handle rotated? The video shows the U-shaped handle rotating as if by magic. I want to use it to lift a sagging porch.

You can rotate it by hand. If you are looking to lift a heavy load I would check out the Ellis Light Duty Steel Lifting Shores. These use a 3/4" solid steel rod to turn the patented nut assembly with integrated thrust bearings and can lift up to 10x more than the standard screw jacks.

I ordered 2 of the 6 x 6 jacks and 2 of the 6 x 6 beam brackets that go at the top of the post. I received a jack and a bracket in each of the two boxes sent. I believe two jacks would fit in one of their standard boxes if you only ordered two jacks. Dan
