Kempston 103063 Straight Bit, 1/4-Inch Shank, 9/16-Inch Cutting Diameter, 1-Inch Cutting Length

Perfect diameter for routing a channel for 1/2" plywood since commercial plywood is actually 31/64" thick. The price was right and it did the job through a lot of dense hard cherry. I'd recommend it.

It was close enough for my needs. I probably could have used a 15/64 bit but figured that would be a lot harder to find. I used it to make dados in 1x2 cherry oak boards for a model display I made. I used it in a Bosch Palm Router.No angry pixies were released during use.

I just reviewed the Kempston set I purchased after buying and using this bit. I'm pleased with the performance, and close inspection of the bit's manufacture demonstrates quality materials and construction.I was using the bit primarily on my Rotozip, so kickback was a serious concern... I didn't need be worried, the cut of the bit left no sign of grab, kickback or chatter. After use the edge still felt as sharp as when unpackaged. Only a small amount of chipped paint indicated it had been used at all.The bit comes in its own quality upright clear plastic case, which I'll photograph if the Amazon system still permits.Of course I'd buy again... after all, I went and bought the set!Cheers,Steve

very good bit and very sharp, after many use it still keeps it color and still very sharp. i would recommended to product to everyone. professional work at a fraction of the price. am pleased with this purchase and with all other kempston bits that i have purchased and will purchased some more Kempston bits in the future
