This has to be the absolute best portfolio I have ever owned! The genuine leather has a nice texture to it and is perfectly oiled. There was a very small amount of oil transfer to the insert that it was shipped with, but I haven't experienced any transfer to my documents since then. It has a nice weight to it without being overly heavy or bulky and offers the perfect amount of storage for a padfolio. I love that it has two pen holders in the spine instead of having one on the outside. All of the stitching seems to be of very high quality. For the money, this is a great value for a high quality padfolio that has a unique appearance and great craftsmanship!

High quality. I love all things leather. This portfolio is well designed with high quality leather built to last. Just the right number of pockets inside to place important business cards or sheets of paper. Holds a full pad of paper. Looks much better than showing up to a meeting with just a naked note pad, but not too pretentious. Classy and understated. It's perfect!

Update: The vendor reached out to me and us sending an exchange. Admirable! Customer service par excellence.I was looking for a rustic looking leather portfolio - just not this rustic…This portfolio does not look nearly as depicted on the Amazon product page. Instead it has a deeply cut grain, and is almost grayish in appearance. Several of the images in this review section are a lot more accurate depictions. I had hoped that those were exceptions - but no - those review images show how it really looks.Other than that, the workmanship and feel are good. I wanted to like it as I don’t like those polished, unnatural looking portfolios that reminds one of plastic. I like some grain and texture - but not to this extreme, and not as shown at all on the product description page. Unfortunately this is a return.
