CorningWare Ceramic Cooking Pot (1.25 liter)

This casserole dish is expensive. It can be heated or cooked in many ways; I use it on a ceramic hob with good results. The heat is distributed very evenly across the bottom. It is a little slow, only a little. The results are good. I would have liked it to be a little larger about 1.5 litre. I am very pleased with it and I expect it to last a long time. If in the unlikely event of it breaking I will purchase another if the price is about the same.

It’s a good bowl for cooking and serving, but I was actually looking for a smaller one as a replacement for one I had broken. It looked smaller in the picture, but I decided to keep it.

Diese Töpfe sind wirklich durch Temperaturschocks nicht zu zerstören. Man kann sie direkt aus dem Gefrierschrank in den heißen Backofen oder in die Mikrowelle stellen.Allerdings gehen sie kaputt, wenn man sie fallen lässt.Ich habe zwei der Töpfe und mehrere Auflauf Formen seit über 35 Jahren im Gebrauch. Jetzt ist mir ein Deckel runter gefallen. Leider bietet die Firma keine Ersatz Deckel an. So musste ich den ganzen Topf neu kaufen. Dafür sollte eigentlich ein Stern wegfallen. Aber die Verkaufs-Strategie der Hersteller Firma ändert nichts an der Qualität des Geschirrs.

The lid was too small and did not fit. The casserole itself is good though can be a bit tricky to clean.
