Q: is the oil pure and 100% essential oil?

I don’t know but to me it doesn’t smell pure. I’m buying new oil to use.

Q: Can you use the included melting pot with a separate purchased hot plate?

I believe so, but we just used a stove burner. Worked great. This is a wonderful kit.
