These pens are awesome! They come in a shiny resealable package and you’ll need to hang onto that because they give you 4 refills and an extra set of batteries. Each pen takes 3 button type batteries and they’re already in the pens. So the extra 3 they give you will refill one pen. Hubby says those 3 batteries are around $13 for the 3 so it’s nice to have that refill.Please!! Read the directions before you tear it open and start trying to write. There’s a little safety rubber ring where you take the “click” part of the pen off and you’ll need to remove that before you can start writing. It’s there so the pen doesn’t accidentally get turned on and use up the batteries. Bought these for my niece as she starts her Freshman Year at the University of Alabama and she loves them!! Surprised at how well this pen works! Very bright because it lights at the barrel and the tip. It also writes well - smooth and a good med tip. Very pleased. I gifted half of them because of the excellent quality.

The pen itself is wonderful, and so is the service. I love the red color light because it does not disturb anyone else's vision or sleep when I use it. It writes well. It came with extra batteries that were beyond my expectation in number.The only thing is that when I got my first box of two Glowseen pens, like others have reported, one of the pens did not work. However, when I contacted them about this problem, they sent out another box right away. That replacement box had two pens and extra batteries also, not just a replacement pen. Therefore I seem to have gotten three pens for the price of two, plus a load of extra batteries.But it is a puzzle as to why so many people receive a box that has "one bad pen" in it from the beginning. That is the only reason for my four stars rather than five. And I will say, the pens seem to be continuing to work well - no more duds. Because I have been slow in writing this review, I have had the chance to use the pens for quite a while, and they continue to be reliable and write well.Thank you to Glowseen for the great service! I would not hesitate to buy this product again, but if I were giving it as a gift or needed it in a timely manner, I'd just make sure I had time to get the replacement since it has been reported that sometimes one won't work and I shared that same experience.

My kids love writing at night in bed. Im trying to avoid the big bright lights so I got these for them to try. It’s amazing. This pen writes so smooth, shines bright and has a glow in the dark ball inside so you can find it in the dark. I’m thinking this is great for camping too :) fun and they’re learning. Maybe they’ll do school work in the dark w o a fuss. It’s worth a try.

This is a nice pen set that lights up. It is great for reviewing and paying the bill at dimly lit restaurants and bars. It is better than comparable ones as it comes with replacement batteries.

Pen clip broke off first week. They do light up the surface you need to write on beautifully, but it's also fallen apart in my pocket. (Repeatedly)

Battery life not that long if used on a regular basis. Wish that the ink flow was better. Some issues when twisting the pen to retract the cartridge or to extend it for writing.Update 5/29/24I was extremely pleased that the company understood and listened to my concerns. I was offered replacement pens and batteries for the ones that didn't function properly. I received new pens and I am pleased with the pens and the wonderful customer service. I recommend these pens. The pens are great for night writing, or dim light which I do a lot of for my line of work. I will definitely purchase more in the future.Thanks.

Pen is not easy to write with. It keeps coming apart.

These pens are awesome. Great value for the price. They even sent me an extra pen and 1 set of batteries. Unfortunately the clicker (on and off switch on the top of the pen) seemed to have broken only after 3 days of use. Fortunately I am very familiar/experienced with many types of these pens and noticed the spring had broken and I was able to fix it partially so it does work. They even have a glow in the dark ball inside them.
