I’ve been looking for a small Bluetooth speaker to take with me now that I’m traveling a bit more again. And I’m quite happy with this Zompers Sound Babiez mini speaker: it provides really nice sound in a very small package.First off, this thing is tiny. As you can see in my first picture, it’s not much bigger around than a quarter. And, when it doesn’t have a quarter sitting on it (second picture), it’s also quite cute. It charges via a newer USB-C port, which is nice, because I can use my phone’s charger for this as well.Finally, as mentioned above, the sound is quite good. Obviously, with a speaker this size, you’re not going to get heart-thumping bass, but there is enough bass for me to work out to in a hotel room, and the vocals on my music come through quite well. Also as you’d expect with a speaker this size there aren’t any extra ports (no 3.5mm Aux) or controls (no on-board volume controls). But really, if you want small, there just isn’t a lot of room for extras. It does have a little cut-out on the side where you can attach a lanyard if you want, but for what I’m using it for, I don’t need that…All-in-all, this is a very nice speaker for its size, and it’s getting five stars from me.

I'm using these speakers in my massage office to move the music from room to room as needed. The speakers are definitely small, which makes it easy to tuck them away and not see them and with alot of sound. However there is a decrease in sound quality as the volume is turned up. There is reverberation feedback, which is very distracting and not calming at all. I set the speaker on a towel and have been working with the volume control to find the perfect balance. I'm not ready to purchase something else at the moment however another item will replace these at some point.

There are two important things to know about the Zompers Sound Babiez Mini. The first is that it really is small - about the size of a campfire marshmallow (albeit a lot heavier and way cooler). The second is that it produces remarkably good sound for its size. That second consideration is important, because this little rascal can't actually break the laws of physics or acoustics. There's not much bass, but surprisingly full mid-range, and clear highs. And it can pump out a surprising amount of volume before distorting.Pairing with bluetooth was easy and worked flawlessly. Pairing this little speaker with your phone will give you a very listenable sound experience wherever you happen to be. It's good enough to be more than a novelty, which surprised me. Although it's also just the right size for some novelty-type uses. Come Halloween, I'm going to find places to hide this speaker to play the sounds of ghosts, ghouls, and storms. But until then, this will be favorite portable speaker for personal use!
