Good to have throughout the class, not just as review
We've given our daughter several of these 5 Steps to a 5 books. The AP Pshych book is pretty good, and she's been using it throughout the class. She has found it much more helpful to have the book up front, versus just using it as review. She tried that with AP Stats and found that she was lost on the exam because her coursework didn't really cover the topics the way they should have. If she'd had the book and been studying the whole time, this would have been more apparent earlier on. Regardless, she says that the Psych book is pretty good and is following along with her coursework more closely. Just be aware as well, these books don't really "teach" you the material. They are a bit of instructions, some strategy, and study points/concepts. You still have to be diligent about your work. The up side is that if you're seeing tips in the book that your teacher hasn't covered, that's a good place to start a coversation around the syllabus and whether or not the teacher has a firm grasp of what they should be teaching. Even though AP classes and teachers should all be on the same level, in reality, they are not. It's nice to have an independent resource available along the way to compare against.

Valuable AP Resource
I love these study and test guides. My daughter had several AP classes, and these books have come in handy. We have used several over the years. This particular book approximately 565 pages. This book has several chapter/sections that cover what you need to know, determine your readiness, review the knowledge you need to get a high score and other parts. Step 5 helps build your test-taking confidence and there is a section with 180 daily questions and activities. This book is full of resources. There is an access code that grants you access to prep courses you can take on your computer, laptop or mobile device. The access code is on the inside back cover. You can also access practice tests, flash cards and a game center. At the back of the book you will find a very useful glossary, bibliography and useful website.

Great value, lots of questions and review
This an excellent course companion-- there are several ~10 page review chapters with several multiple choice questions at the end of each chapter. In addition, there is a diagnostic exam at the beginning of the book (which may be useful as you begin to prepare for your AP exam/finals) and two full length AP exams at the end of the book. The "Elite" aspect of this edition is also what adds to the relative "bulk" of the book. There are 180 daily questions that review skills, concepts and representations that are likely to appear in your AP exam. In addition, there are suggested answers for each of these daily questions. This is an excellent value and should probably be used throughout your course, rather than for a review at the end.

Fine book, the "elite" portion might be unnecessary
This is a pretty standard test prep book, but has an extra feature, which is a daily task. While I like the idea of this, some of the tasks are silly or unrealistic. Most are fine, though and a good way to review. As an AP Psych teacher, I struggle to see how most students will really benefit from this because they're already covering all this stuff in class and I really can't see any of my students doing all this extra work on their own. Someone taking the course on their own or online might benefit from it, though. The rest of the book is predictable and does a fine enough job covering the basics. The test hasn't changed for a couple decades, so there's no reason to get the "2018" edition.

good resource
This was quite good guide to prepare for the exam. It has all that is needed to know about the exam and helps the student to get there. They even give you a calendar to time the test preparation with which chapters ro read and study or just skim for the time being, when to take the diagnostic test, and when to take the practice tests. Everything is organized well. They explain the answers so you know where you made a mistake and why.Overall, it is a good resource for the exam.

Good exam taking support
This book has online resources that support the book. It uses a very systematic approach to grade improvement, providing an initial test to evaluate your current knowledge and test readiness and a study plan. There is no magic to grade improvement, it's simply lots of practice with different types of questions, so you can move trough the question quickly. The online resources provide you plenty of practice exercises. If you diligently follow the plan you should

Good resource
All in all, I am glad to have this book and think it is a strong resource for studying for AP psychology--both the class and the exam itself. However, I think this book is much too big for what it is supposed to cover. My psychology textbook itself (Myers for AP) is about the same size, I believe. The review book is very long. There are many, many practice tests to take and lots of good information and tips inside. I recommend buying this if you either teach or take a psych class.

After studying all week and taking practice test one and thinking that i did terrible, I discovered that answers 14-61 are in the wrong order. This caused a lot of unnecessary stress very close to the test and I am very disappointed.
