Works as expected. Read review for a tip on programming the remotes!
Needed some extra remotes and keys for a used 2015 Traverse I just bought. These came in 2 days, my local hardware store cut the keys for free, and the remotes were easily programmed once I stumbled upon a great, easy and inexpensive alternative to going to the dealer or someone with a scan tool for the programming! But first things first: Once the keys are cut, in order for the vehicle to learn and recognize the chips in the new keys, just put an existing (working) key into the ignition, turn the ignition to on, wait for the lights to go out on the dash, pull the working key out, insert one of the new keys, turn ignition back on, wait for dash lights to go out, pull the new key out, and that's it. Super simple. Repeat process for second key.PRO TIP: For vehicles after 2011 or so, you *USED TO* need to either have someone with a scan tool or an authorized dealer with the GM scan equipment get into the cars menu to program the remotes. If a few hundred bucks means nothing to you read no further. Take it to your dealership and shower them with Benjamins to program the remotes. For an additional charge they'll even "program the keys" for you too, but you already know how silly it would be to pay someone to do that if you read this far!For those of us on real budgets in the real world, dealerships charge way too much for a simple process like programming a remote, and if your mechanic does it he'll probably charge you $60-$150 for two remotes (still too much IMO) and he probably will have to google how to do it since most mechanics don't routinely program remotes as part of what they do.Being fairly handy, I was actually thinking about purchasing a scan tool since I would sort of like to have one around, but found you need a relatively spendy scan tool in order to allow doing things like getting into settings for learning new remotes. Then while looking at scan tools I stumbled into a product made by Dorman, also sold on Amazon. It comes with another remote (basically same as these) AND A LITTLE DEVICE WHICH PLUGS INTO THE OBD2 PORT UNDER YOUR STEERING WHEEL AND TELLS THE CAR TO GO INTO REMOTE LEARNING MODE! No scan tool required! No dealership charging you big $$ to program remotes required! In my case I already had these remotes plus the new one from Dorman, so I junked the goofy aftermarket remote that for whatever reason came with the car, programmed the remote that came with the device from Dorman along with these two remotes, and now I have one remote for driver one, one remote for driver two, a spare remote, three keys each attached to a working remote, -plus a device that will let me do two more programming sessions, -all for far less than a dealership would charge to do just one remote and one key!Side note: It seems these remotes have slightly better range than the one from that came with the Dorman tool, so I made these the driver one and two remotes and made the Dorman remote the spare.Couldn't be happier!

The key works great!
I have got the mystery solved for a lot of other people. You can take these keys to any hardware store that have a key duplication machine and get the physical keys cut! The one I took it to was so bored in life (JK they were amazing!) they did it for me for free! It's that easy! I just used instructions from message boards to introduce the newly cut physical keys to my car and both the new keys and the original key work my car now. However the electronic part needs to be programmed for which you can either buy a one time programmer online or the more expensive programming devices that work with multiple vehicles through the OBD 2 port. I still need to program mine, haven't done enough research on that part yet, but having two more keys available provides great peace of mind.

Good value
The media could not be loaded. The keys are a bit thin I suppose but they do as they are intended.

Very easy to program
I have a 2011 GMC Acadia. When I scanned the code for programming instructions it stated I needed to use a locksmith or dealer. I used the locksmith. He simply used the original key to turn on the ignition but "DID NOT" start the vehicle. He let all the dash lights come on and set. Then he turned the ignition off and immediately put in the new key and turned on the ignition as before. Then he turned it off and used new key to start the vehicle. Since I had already had the key cut this cost me 10 bucks instead of the 35 I had been quoted on the phone. It was worth it to learn how to do the programming. I had two new keys. I programmed the second one myself. Super easy. Well worth the money.
