The media could not be loaded. First things first... You need to take this set at face value for what it is and its cost.Is this going to last you the next decade? Probably not. Its is not forever-furniture. BUT, if you're a broke girl on a super strict budget that just wants a nice place to hang out outside - it's perfect. It is just what I wanted for under my pergola. I do kind of wish I would have got the 6 piece set, but... again, broke girl here.For reference, I am 36/F and like to think that I am fairly capable and mostly handy, under average circumstances.HOW LONG DID ASSEMBLY TAKE?I apparently have a poor gauge on how long things will take me to do, and I made the mistake of starting to put this together at 8:27PM (EST, Ohio); it took me until 11:14 PM to finish, with only a few snack breaks in that time. Ultimately, I ended up outside in the dark with a headlamp on because I couldn't see anything. Everything was nicely packaged, all the pieces were marked (except the bolts, but there were only two bags of them), there was no damage to the wicker or main components.HOW HARD IS IT TO ASSEMBLE?It is not hard at all. The directions were clear and easy enough to understand. I checked before starting that I had all the pieces and parts and nothing was damaged (the only damaged I encountered was on two of the feet, the metal for the inside part was a little bent, but nothing you would see after assembly and nothing that affected function). There are exactly 532 bolts though and your fingers are going to be begging you to never ever in your life buy something that uses one of those little hex key things to assemble ever again.HOW IS THE QUALITY?It's what you would expect based on the price. It is not heavy-duty forever furniture. The wicker is kind of thin and absolutely wouldn't hold up to unruly children (or dogs) jumping and climbing all over it. But, as an adult-only home with only partially unruly animals, I expect that it will last us (at minimum) a few summer seasons. I did immediately order a patio furniture cover that hopefully will fit it well enough to protect it from rain and snow. The pads are thin, but not really uncomfortable at all. I did cut a mattress topper to size and put it on the bench under the pads - but truth be told, I did that more for our senior dog than for us (he loves to lounge out in the sun and has taken a favorable liking to this set). Until I find a better solution, I did cover all the pads with a sheet... I read that the pads fade in the sun and I would like to prevent that if possible, but more importantly, we have two dogs under a year that like to run through their pool, through the dirt, and then jump on anything that looks like we might want it to stay clean (this is why we can't have nice things).Overall, I am very happy with how it turned out and how it changed my outdoor space. We have now sat out here all evening, watched movies out here... whereas before we would only come out to hang out with the dogs because the patio table wasn't comfortable for long term hanging out.
