Exactly as expected

Have had a koi pond several years now. A novice at the beginning, I resisted the purchase of a UV, because they were not cheap, and I doubted the claim that it would pretty much put an end to green water. I battled algae the first year, with enzymes, bacteria, water changes, and brushes to scrape around the pond and remove the masses of string algae - a constant battle that I kept losing. Finally gave in and purchased the UV - my pond is only 1,500 gallons, but I figured bigger is better (same rule of thumb for filters, by the way) so I got the 36 watt. Huge difference; no more green water, and algae under control.

Burnt out less than a month
Bulb worked greatly until it burnt out less than 30 days of using it. I was told to expect A replacment but it never came. So now I'm stuck with a dud bulb.
