Purchased to keep eye on sleeping elderly parent. At the time we needed a monitoring system, add-on cameras were not available, so we purchased two different brands, VTimes and a VAVA, for comparison. The pricier VAVA has performed beautifully for four plus years. The VTimes was disappointing. The night vision was very poor, grainy and constantly blanked in and out. Daytime picture was grainy, average. Both brands were WiFi free, which met our criteria for privacy. We were going to return the VTimes and replace it with another brand. On a last minute whim, we placed it outside the front door on a planter, and the game changed! The picture is now clear and the sound is excellent. The night vision does not work, but the WiFi security camera in that zone handles night vision.Now we see/hear deliveries, visitors pulling into our driveway, birds, neighbors walking by, all in real time with no lag. We love it! This monitor has stood up to northern Michigan weather, from summer heat to sub zero degrees for going on two years. It does have moderate protection from rain and snow and we do bring it in during severe weather and sub zero temperatures. Although we have WiFi security cameras, this little non WiFi gem gives us a real time view of our front door and yard. Understand this is not what the monitor and camera are intended for, but it works great for us. We are purchasing another to watch the side yard wildlife for entertainment. Never could understand why it's performance indoors was so poor, but we are glad we gave it another try at a new job.

I absolutely love this monitor. There are so many things we need for baby, so I’m always looking for products that you get the most for your money. THIS IS IT!!! I used infant optix at first and the battery was a joke, it would never allow me to use the handheld part unplugged unless I held it a certain way. This is everything that infant optix is and more for a better price. I also like that the battery of the handheld part is not accessible (important when you also have a toddler). Picture quality and night vision are extremely clear. There also hasn’t been a delay like some monitors I’ve used (esp Wi-Fi ones). I feel way safer using a non wifi monitor in general and this works better anyway!! Screen is nice and large—I find this to be a big perk personally, but just know it’s not pocket sized like an iPhone. Probably slightly bigger than an iPhone plus. My favorite feature is the colored sound indicator that allows you to see when your baby makes a peep without actually having the sound on. I was worried this would pick up the sound machine and not her cries accurately but it’s worked perfectly. You can also zoom in and move the lens around if baby changes positions without having to go in and fix the camera!! Battery life has been excellent. My toddler loves to help keep an eye on his sis!

We have been looking for a baby monitor with a really large screen and clear night vision that is affordable. We finally found one! This camera has amazing night vision. It also has several different settings that you can choose from (including playing lullaby’s through the camera’s speaker). It has two-way talk, temperature detection, and noise detection.I was shocked to see how long the battery lasted. Our old monitor had to be plugged up about every 4 hours. This one lasted all night and all day the next day through nap times!

This thing feels super sturdy! We had an expensive monitor previously that was absolute crap and this one feels much sturdier at less than 1/3 the cost! The picture quality isn’t great and looks pretty grainy, but for the money, I can’t complain! I will say that the view is pretty zoomed in and you can’t zoom out further, so I’d mount it far enough away that you can see the entire crib. I’m hoping it holds up ok and that the video quality is sufficient to see what my wild child is doing!

I bought this for my sister because it was on her baby registry and she says she loves it.She wouldn’t stop thanking me so I’m assuming it was a great gift.

Hooked up so easily and really works good. Went 2.5 years with no baby monitor. Our child moved into a regular bed and can now get out easily..... sooooo we needed to be able to watch them. Night time mode is very visible. Camera oscillates wonderful and monitor is easy to navigate manually to follow child around the room.

I was excited to get this baby monitor as it appeared to have great reviews! However after setting up this one and one I bought from Walmart at the same time (VTech RM5854HD.... Both cost about the same amount,) I am highly disappointed in this camera. Below will be a list of Pros and Cons in comparison to the Vtech.Pros:*Supposed to have night vision.*Pans, tilts, and "zooms" (though it is already a close range camera and only zooms in once.Cons:*Close range camera and only zooms once.*Terrible quality daytime camera that is very dark and grainy.*Night vision is very washed out and difficult to see what is what.*Video lags.*Two way communicator is not the easiest to clearly understand.*Does not connect to phones for mobile viewing.You can see the image quality is extremely different. I will be returning this camera myself. For the money, you can still find better. I am truly unsure why it has so many good reviews.

The device worked fine but the camera quality was poor for both day and night. Would prefer a clearer picture of baby.

The battery is not working properly while using it for few times and few hours since I bought it and even while charging it it beeps mentioning that no charge in it :(Also the image from time to time is in high contrast so nothing is showing ...So disappointed with the purchase for this price...

The price is great.The video is good (day and night)However we've been using this monitor for only few months and not it's not picking up when our baby cries all the time (settings are set to the most sensitive)This is the second time our baby has been screaming for who knows how long because the monitor didn't pick her up but it'll pick up every little sound from the street.Really unimpressed that I spent $100 on this and will now need to get a replacement so that our baby isn't left when she needs us
