Makes the finishing touch
I bought this for my adult son for Xmas, to go with the separately bought F1 McLaren car. The car was a great hit and once finished he set about adding the light kit. He hadn't realised that this meant taking a lot of the car apart again to fit the light kit which wasn't too bad as he enjoyed putting it together again. It certainly completes the car and is worth it, for display purposes. Other than being really pleased with the result, his only comment was that it might have been good to have some light in the cockpit as well.

Not The Best Instructions
Because everything is pre-wired and connected, it requires a fair amount of disassembly to run the lights. A bit of a task as the initial assembly is quite complex and the thought of taking things apart is not appealing. The worst part of it is that the instructions that came with the kit are for a lego building and the online instructions are not clear and hard to follow.The power pack is not rechargeable, it is a rather large pack that requires 3 AA batteries. It does fit nicely under the car's chassis, but it sticks out far enough to drag slightly when the car is at rest.
