Material is thick enough to feel substantial but still breathable. Wear in summer or with leggings and sweater in winter.The stitching and construction are great and washes/wears well!The beautiful sash adds the sweetest detail and the contrast white stitching is a nice detail. Great length, so no worries about too much movement. All around great purchase and value.

This dress is so cute. The ruffles and tie belt are adorable and add just the right about of detail to the dress to make her feel beautiful! I was plesently surprised by the quality with a great weight and texture of the dress. Soft and smooth (like a brushed satin texture) made it flow very nicely, especially for a twirl. The zipper was great and the length and fit were perfect from the size chart.

Purchased as wedding attire and wore nicely. Fit well and my daughter said it was comfy!

I found this dress pretty quickly while looking for a recital outfit for my daughter's upcoming solo viola recital. It fits beautifully. She is 13, but very lean and it's been difficult to find something that suits her style, age, body shape while also being appropriate for the occasion. This dress fits the bill.It's opaque enough to not require a slip, and once I wash and steam it, it will be ready to go. Her bra straps don't poke out, and the sash is great for cinching the waist.I ordered both the 10-12 and 13-14. The 10-12 ended up being the winner. I didn't even bother having her try on the 13-14. My daughter is 88 lbs and 5'2". I know some reviewers have said it runs small, but I think it's very true to size.
