Yes. Allows lights and moisture through. Absorbs Sins heat. Speeds germination. Stops birds eating the seed.

I have not laid the net over plants directly. However, the material is very light and believe that this could be done.

It is a pale yellowy green colour. It really does keep the cabbage whites off the plants.
