Not fit for purpose.
I had high hopes for this Akai MPC Key 61, however my experience has been nothing but software and hardware issues. With MPC Firmware 2.13.0 Bluetooth simply does not connect to anything including new M-Audio BT4BT 4.5'' monitors, it won't connect to Ableton Live or even my iPhone 14 Pro Max. It won't even detect a brand new Sandisk Ultra 3D SSD. It wouldn't login to activate the included plugins either. Akai support were nice enough but equally puzzled by the issues I experienced. So all in all a frustrating non- starter, I am returning mine for a refund thanks to Amazon's returns policy.

Spoiled by Akais bean counters
HiLet me say first, the modest three ⭐ is because this instrument is complex to understand, and needs a proper tutorial operation manual, rather than the quick start manual you get.If you want to operate this instrument proficiently you have to go online, download manuals, and tutorial videos, then you can get best out of this instrument. The instrument itself is five stars ⭐ for, looks, build quality, sound quality, and having spent £1300 it is remiss of Akai not include a proper manual. It's a bit mean.

Great product, sent it back due to fault…
Really looking forward to playing this, unfortunately it came with 4 raised keys 🎹 and the top Bb wouldn’t work (sound) on any of the sounds. So in the process of sending it back. Hopefully 🤞🏻 when I have a refund, I can order another one that all works…😞
