A little confused now...please clarify
In the Product Description it says "Full Set Epson No.79 (T0791, T0792, T0793, T0794 T0795, T0796) Ink Cartridges for Epson Stylus Photo 1400 Printers Brand New Vacuum Sealed & Packed from Epson Factory!!" But when I clicked the link in the email I received from the seller under the item description it says "Seller note: This OEM ink cartridge is BRAND NEW, Ships Fast and Great Service..."Well which is it? I gave 3 stars for the price and quick service, and would have given 5 stars if I definitely knew the ink in the cartridges is Epson ink. Epson inks and paper are chemically matched to give quality prints that have been independently rated to last over 100 years in some circumstances without significant fading. That same rating company also found that in using inks that are not matched to the paper the time before fading can drop to less than 5 years. I specifically purchased a wide-format Epson 1400 printer because the ink and paper combination is rated the best of all brands tested - and purchased these cartridges because I believed they contain authentic Epson ink. Now I am not so sure - and I will be very upset if the photographic works that I create from this printer will end up not lasting as long as I expected - or worse, that the colors will not be true because of the difference in the formulation of the inks.A substitution for standard inkjet printing is not a big deal, but for a specialty printer like this ink formulation is critical, especially when a user such as myself spends the extra money to buy the more expensive Epson printer paper to go with it. Please respond with a clarification of the true source of this ink.

Great with metallic paper
I am a professional fine art photographer and this ink works perfectly with metallic paper. Specifically I use it with Red River Metallic paper and I use it in a 1430 Epson Printer that is pretty much dedicated to just printing on metallic paper. I also have other smaller printers that also use this ink. Interestingly I learned how good this ink is after realizing that some Canon family snapshot prints on the fridge were fading after a year of exposure. This was several years ago and I replaced all of the photos with ones printed with this ink. The prints printed with the Canon ink faded after a year but the replacements, using this ink, haven't faded and it has been at least three years. After that I really paid attention to this ink. Don't get the impression that this is the do it all professional printer ink. My go to printer relies on Epson K3 Ink but for metallic prints that are 13x19 and smaller this is a great product.

real epson ink for my 1430
since the printer has been discontinued, I had to find ink cartridges online. these are the real thing, and are working great! I hope this supplier will have these carts available the next time I need ink.

Mostly works
So far I've inserted 5 of these in my 1430 printer. 4 have been recognized by the printer. The Light Magenta one, I had to remove a strip of plastic keying on the back as the cartridge wouldn't fit otherwise - the printer did recognize it. The yellow cartridge is not being recognized by the printer, though it is recognizing the empty yellow cartridge it's replacing. I've read this can happen with Epson cartridges, tried the various fixes - no go. So currently I'm looking for a yellow cartridge...

I am pleased!
I purchased this set of ink to follow the removal of my CIS in my printer (I do not print nearly as much as I used to). And am pleased to say they work great! They were sealed in two packs of three, so I'm not sure if they would dry out if not all used once opened. They worked for my needs since I replaced all cartridges at once. When I first put them in, my printer did announce it did not recognize any cartridges, but I just turned it off and back on and BAM. All good. These are genuine Epson cartridges with great color quality!

Be aware that all these cartridges may not be recognized!
Purchased 2 of these sets, the first 5 cartridges worked fine but when I tried to install the last cartridge out of the first set, the Cyan color could not be recognized. I opened the 2nd set I purchased and installed the same color from that box and it recognized it fine. When looking over the cartridges, they seem to be authentic but when placed against the cartridges that originally came with my Artisan 1430, the color label was lighter and the green/gold scan part that your printer reads is NOT the same. The original cartridges say EPSON on the green/gold scan part but these DO NOT and they look cheaply made compared to the original. I now have a Cyan cartridge that is trash because my return window passed on the 4th!

Epson 6 PK 79 series
They always work! I have tried remanufactured ink cartridges and what a disaster! They smear and are not true colors. I do a lot of printing on premium glossy paper such as photos and DVD jackets and discs in my business. They have to be of high quality for my customers. The Claria Hi- definition ink is what I prefer. In this instance you get what you pay for. I use Epson premium photo paper, and Epson Hi Definition ink that is guaranteed to last for 75 years.
