aftermarket Zodiac Baracuda Finned Replacement Disk-Skirt-mat Fits G3 & G4 In Ground Models

This is a good product. My old barracuda skirt died. I knew it was dying, started looking--was shocked how much the parts for it cost--can buy a whole new unit for just a little more than a couple of wear item replacements... Unfortunately the skirt died--folded over and shred itself. It was a bad week to spend money, so I thought what the heck--I will try this part--the reviews sounded OK, and if it didn't work out--it wasn't THAT much out of pocket, and would probably get me through until I could buy a new until this spring... which we thought would be a good idea anyway, since ours was no longer climbing walls, etc.So I ordered it. It looks considerably different than the original part, but reflecting, this is in good ways. For one thing, the ribbing on the top will probably make it so this skirt can't died like the last one did, by folding under. It is reinforced. AND?! Unit is performing like new, back to climbing the walls and getting ALL the sediment off the bottom of the pool. It does a great job creating suction I guess.Don't be afraid--order it :)

I got a generic suction automatic vac with my above ground pool package about 10 or 11 years ago and the disc wore out. I couldn't find any manufacturer's markings, so I bought this one because it looked close in the pictures. Luckily, it fits fine and works properly and well. I'm happy with it, and I didn't have to buy a new vac. I'm thinking of also buying the disc made of scrubby material to help loosen any algae when I open the pool this year. I'll review it's efficacy with a generic pool vac if I do.

I was a little wary at first but being nearly $60.00 less than the local OEM replacement I thought I'd give it a try. The material is comparable in both thickness and texture to the original and the design is far superior. I have an older pool and this skirt cleans deep dirt much better and doesn't get stuck in corners or fold over on itself as the original did even when new. You will be impressed and you will save a lot of money.A quick word about the vendor...I had an issue with another product, I wasn't even sure it had a warranty left or not but I got in touch with Mr. Robert Stuart of Moonlight Pool Supply, sent a few pictures of what was happening and just like that he Priority mailed me a replacement and I was back in operation in two days. To say I was pleased is putting it lightly, impressed is more like it, that's how you do business people. No hassles, no RMA run around just first class customer service. Many companies large and small could take a lesson from Mr. Stuart. Take care of the customer and take care of the customer now. He has my business for sure now and I highly recommend him to anyone...Thanks again Robert.

Have been using this for a couple of months to replace the very expensive original part for my G4 - overall it has been an excellent replacement.Pros:Unlike the original part, the skirt is continuous from the center outwards - whilst I had concerns that this would not scoop debris as well as the original, it has proved to be just as effective & has the advantage of not getting folded up under the G4, as the original would sometimes do when returning to the pool floor after climbing the sides. Since the skirt material is subject to less flexing as a result, I'm hoping it may not wear as quickly as the original, but this will take a couple of seasons to judge. The lower price is a big plus.Cons:You may need to fiddle with your suction pressure/hose length to avoid the cleaner getting stuck, or climbing the pool sides too much - I'd calibrated my setting to work with the original part & had to play with the settings for a few days to get it cleaning the whole pool again - it ended up requiring slightly higher suction than the original part.

VERY..CHEAPLY MADE :( NOT AS DESCRIBED! HAD TO PURCHASE THE CORRECT ONE FROM POOL STORE AFTER I PURCHASED THIS ONE. THIS ONE IS THIN DOES NOT WORK WELL WITH MY UNIT. I PURCHASED THIS BASED ON THE REVIEWS READ ABOUT IT ON THE SITE AND WHAT I RECEIVED WAS NOT AT ALL LIKE THE REVIEWS STATED VERY POOR QUALITY , BUT THEN AGAIN I SHOULD OF KNOW BETTER U GET WHAT U PAY FOR. IN THIS CASE I WAS SCREWED AS I LOST MY MONEY AND HAD TO PURCHASE THE CORRECT ONE FROM MY LOCAL POOL STORE.VERY UNHAPPY EXTREMELY DISSATISFIED CUSTOMER. .

I will give it a Five star after 2 Years with no problems. My old barracuda lasted 3 Years. I bought this because of the price and extra ridges around it for durability. It is performing very well now and I am very please after just a Month of service, but many products will perform well in the short term!I like the Seller and quick shipping and give them a Four Star for customer service, Thanks!

When I needed to buy a replacement "finned disk" for my Baracuda pool cleaner I was shocked at the almost $100 price tag to buy a new one at the local pool supply company. I thought it more economical to buy a whole new pool cleaner for $250 or so than to pay $100 for this piece. Luckily I found this replacement by Moon Light Pool supply at about one-third of the price of Zodiac's part. Moon Light's finned disk fits perfectly onto the Baracuda and it works just as good as the original, maybe better. My pool cleaner now travels around the pool and climbs the walls just as it did before. Th color of this replacement part is somewhat different than the original (it's more of a greyish blue) but who cares considering I saved about $60. I've had it for about two months now and highly recommend this product. I should mention also that shipping was extremely fast. The few days I took debating whether or not to buy this was longer than it took for the product to arrive once I ordered it.
